When Miley Cyrus recently discussed her controversial and extremely successful music video for “Wrecking Ball” she stated that Sinead O’Connor’s classic video for her hit “Nothing Compares 2U” was a major inspiration. At the opening of the clip that’s apparent, with the tight face shots and expressed emotions but then the video morphs into sledgehammer licking and nude swinging on demolition equipment.
