Filming continues on Christopher Nolan’s much-anticipated Batman sequel The Dark Knight Rises in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where a savvy photographer snapped these images of actor Tom Hardy as super-villain Bane. An ambulance was called to the London home of singer Amy Winehouse earlier today after reports of a woman’s body being found. Paramedics arrived at 3:54 pm and pronounced Amy Winehouse dead on the scene. The singer was 27 years old.

HBO dominated the field of nominees for the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards garnering a whopping total of 104 nominations! Their original miniseries Mildred Pierce and drama series Boardwalk Empire combined for 39 nominations and their original movies Cinema Verite and Too Big to Fail helped add to the total. But what I’m most excited about are the 13 nominations for my favorite new drama series of 2011: Game of Thrones!
