The polygamist Sister Wives’ Brown family seem accepting and laid back, but they do have strong religious beliefs (click here to learn more about that.) With so many kids in the teenage age range, dating is kind of a big issue. The Duggar family is another family with focused religious beliefs and lots of teens, and their rules for dating (or, as they call it, courtship) are pretty strict. Hand-holding is prohibited until engagement, and full on-kissing and full frontal hugs are to be avoided at all costs until marriage. Of course, the Duggars make it clear that they are letting the children decide.
Next week’s episode of Sister Wives deals with a harrowing health struggle for one of the youngest Browns: Christine’s daughter Truely. In the previews Kody says that she’s “chemically completely off balance.” Is baby Truly okay now?

After the Brown family of TLC’s Sister Wives found fame by exposing their taboo lifestyle on television, it opened up a possibility in the minds of Americans that polygamist families can be very modern and happy. Last year year the Darger family came out too, giving television interviews, and publishing a book about their family called Love Times Three.
The Dargers are definitely unique.
On last night’s Season 4 premiere episode of Sister Wives, the family dealt with the stress of going through pre-approval for home loans so they could move forward in buying the four lots in a cul-de-sac they had their eyes on. The family has been living sort of far away from each other ever since they moved to Vegas, and wanted to have closer living quarters so their children could be able to spend more time and bond with their siblings. They worried about potential problems with Jenelle’s credit, but it was Robyn’s debt from her former marriage that really had the family worried.
Although all Utah criminal bigamy charges have been dropped for the Sister Wives‘ Brown Family, it still is a third-degree felony in the state to just say you have more than one wife (as in, not filing the legal documents, but having “spiritual” marriages like the Browns have.) Because of that, the Browns are fighting back, and have filed a lawsuit against Utah in an attempt to get a “federal judge to overturn the state’s bigamy law as unconstitutional.”
Sister Wives polygamist Kody Brown kind of shocked his family of 16 years when he took fourth wife Robyn into the family in 2010. With the family becoming financially table because of their opportunities from fame, would he (and the family) eventually take a fifth?

The Brown Family of TLC’s Sister Wives fame have 22 mouths to feed (17 kids, 4 wives, and one dad/husband,) and have had to move from their home in Utah to four separate residences in Las Vegas, Nevada because of a threat that their family may be broken up. First wife Meri lost her job after the show came on the air, Robyn left her job to join the family, and the main breadwinners Jenelle and Kody had to leave their jobs behind when they moved. Their move and living expenses afterwards came mostly from what supposed to be their retirement savings, and many of the kids are nearing college age. How does this huge family support themselves?

Reality’s polygamous Brown family has endured some astronomical changes in the past year, including exposing their controversial lifestyle on a popular television show, facing legal scares, losing their jobs and relocating to a new city, but perhaps one of the hardest things to deal with was the addition of a new, young, hot wife after nearly two decades of living together as an unchanged family unit.

Aside from the fact that they’re now getting money from TLC for their popular reality show that’s now into the second season and their fame no doubt has also given them other opportunities to make money via endorsements and such, one of the biggest questions about The Brown Family from Sister Wives is how they were able to feed and house a family of 21 people up until this point?
