The wife and daughter of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid were seriously injured in an automobile accident in Fairfax County, Virginia Thursday afternoon. Lana Reid-Barringer, 48, and Lana Reid, 69, were seriously injured when a tractor-trailer failed to stop and crashed into their stopped vehicle on Interstate 95. Miami Police arrested Miami Heat forward Dorell Wright for driving under the influence as well as driving on a suspended license after cops witnessed the 24-year old driving his 2005 Bentley erratically at about 3:37 AM. According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, cops were talking with Wright when they noticed “red and watery eyes, odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, and low and slurred speech.” Wright wasn’t able to provide current proof of insurance and police also discovered he was driving on a suspended license.

Ousted late night host Conan O’Brien got a huge settlement from NBC as part of his controversial departure from The Tonight Show, and part of that huge settlement was a clause prohibiting Conan from performing on television again until after September 1, 2010. But, there is nothing in the contract preventing CoCo from doing live appearances, as evidenced by O’Brien’s official announcement today of a North American tour starting April 12 in Eugene, Oregon and finishing up June 14 at the Fox Theater in Atlanta.
