Normally when a musician takes a “stripped down” approach to their new single they don’t mean it literally, but in Erykah Badu’s music video for “Window Seat,” she walks through downtown Dallas removing her clothes piece by piece until there ain’t nothin’ left but 100% Badu!
The critically acclaimed singer credits Brooklyn duo Matt & Kim’s controversial “Lessons Learned” video from last year as inspiration. That video featured Matt and Kim stripping while walking the streets of downtown New York City. Their streaking resulted in actually getting tackled by the cops. Eryka’s ending was a bit more artistic and staged:

Surprisingly, Erykah made no mention of Alanis Morissette’s “Thank You” video which featured Alanis completely nude walking down the street at night.
