Researchers from Cambridge University Hospital in the UK have reportedly had a breakthrough in their attempts to find a treatment for peanut allergies! According to a study published Thursday, the researchers have developed an six-month oral immunotherapy treatment that “resulted in a majority of youngsters allergic to peanuts being able to eat them without showing ill effects.” Keep reading for more details on the result of the study!

TLC has pulled the plug on its reality series Escaping the Prophet, which documents ex-FLDS member Flora Jessop’s efforts “to take down one of the most reportedly dangerous polygamist cults in America.” Viewers tuning in last night were surprised to find no new episode. Show star Flora Jessop was also apparently blindsided by the cancellation, which she later angrily confirmed with a since-deleted Facebook message and series of tweets.

Three people have been arrested in Virginia in a story that could best be described by the movie title Dumb and Dumber. Campbell County sheriff’s Maj. L.T. Guthrie says two girls under the age of 13 were in the care of 20-year-old family friend Alexander Edwards (mug shot photo above) when he decided to give both girls tattoos with a home tattoo kit. Afterward, the children’s mom and boyfriend were arrested after he attempted to remove the tattoos with a scorching hot razor blade.

Tonight was the season premiere of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo as America’s favorite redneck family made their triumphant return to the small screen with two back-to-back episodes. In the second episode, appropriately titled “The Birds and the Boos,” Mama June tried talking to her three older daughters about sex — a conversation chock full of anatomical Mama Junisms ranging from “fruit loop” (vagina) to ting tangs (breasts). Thankfully (or perhaps not), TLC producers created an Operation-inspired visual guide to the human female anatomy according to Mama June that illustrates exactly what’s what.
Original Breaking Amish cast members Abe Schmucker and Rebecca Byler shocked viewers when they revealed Rebecca was pregnant with her second child on the Breaking Amish: Brave New World “The Shunning Truth” reunion special back in July. As I mentioned in a previous post, American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy revealed that last night’s episode of Coven titled “Protect the Coven” was going to contain some clues as to what the fourth season of AHS would be about. Ocotmom Nadya Suleman could be spending more than five years behind bars after the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office charged the 38-year-old mother of fourteen with three felony counts of welfare fraud. Included in the charges are one count of aid by misrepresentation, and two counts of perjury by false application for aid, with the District Attorney claiming Nadya failed to report earnings of approximately $30,000 from the first half of 2013.
Even though Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies was unable to add to its trophy case, that doesn’t mean the spell-binding cast of American Horror Story: Coven didn’t work their magic on the red (and black) carpet — both at the Golden Globes and at the FX after party. (And yes, Emma Roberts was sporting her new engagement ring from AHS co-star Evan Peters!)
Courtland Rogers, the estranged husband of Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans, was released from prison earlier today after serving 90 days of a 9-month sentence.
