Some shockingly sad news to report for fans of A&E’s reality series Shipping Wars as numerous sources are reporting that show star Roy Garber has died from a heart attack at the age of 49. The official Shipping Wars Facebook page shared this message Saturday night:

We are deeply saddened by the loss of a member of the A&E family. Our thoughts are with Roy’s loved ones during this difficult time. He will be missed.

Details have not officially been released, but close friends of Roy’s have commented that he passed away from a heart attack. Several pointed out that Roy had suffered a major heart attack a few years ago as well.

UPDATE – TMZ has spoken with Roy’s long-time girlfriend and she confirms Roy passed away after suffering a heart attack. She reveals he was taken to a Texas hospital, but died shortly after.

Co-star and on-screen foe Jennifer Brennan took to Facebook to share her condolences and also reveal that off-screen the two shared a “unique friendship:”

My deepest condolences go out to Roy’s family. Off camera we really had a unique friendship. He showed me many things over the years in shipping. I’ll miss you friend!!!!! The roads won’t be same without you. 🙁
