Heidi Montag releases EP album “Dreams Come True”

In fake reality show stars addicted to plastic surgery “Where Are They Now?” news, The Hills star (and professional bikini filler) Heidi Montag has decided to give her music career another go with a brand new EP featuring four old songs. The EP is titled Dreams Come True and comes a little more than two years after her debut album, Superficial, bombed in January of 2010 with just over 1,000 copies sold in the first week. After the disappointing sales of Superficial, Montag was famously quoted as saying, “I spent $2 million on my music career, and it didn’t happen for me.” Apparently she has decided to spend more money in hopes that the title of her EP will actually happen this time.

The world of Barbzdom is up in arms after their icon Nicki Minaj deleted her Twitter account Sunday following a dispute with fans and accusing website NickiDaily.com of posting leaked tracks. The “leaked tracks” were reportedly just snippets from Minaj’s new album Romans Reloaded that were available on iTunes, but that was enough for Minaj to block their Twitter account. In the aftermath of blocking the site there was a huge reaction on Twitter as Nicki’s fans began choosing sides. Eventually the drama was too much for Minaj, who tweeted some rather nasty things before writing, “Like seriously, its but so much a person can take. Good f***ing bye” and then suspending her account completely.

It seems the last three years of tabloid headlines were right after all! Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie appear to be engaged and planning to officially get married some time in the near future. The story turned from gossip to credible after Angelina Jolie was spotted Wednesday night wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring at a private viewing of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Chinese Galleries. Although neither Jolie nor Pitt’s reps have confirmed the engagement, The Hollywood Reporter went through the journalism backdoor and found the designer of the ring, Robert Procop, who’s rep was more than willing to open up about the bling, including the confirmation that it is indeed an engagement ring!

REPORT George Zimmerman to be charged in Trayvon Martin shooting later today

Earlier today, the special prosecutor in the Trayvon Martin shooting case announced a press conference for 6pm EST. CNN is now reporting that she will be announcing that charges will be filed against George Zimmerman, the Neighborhood Watchman who shot Trayvon on February 26, claiming the shooting was in self defense.

UPDATE – George Zimmerman has been charged with 2nd degree murder and is currently in custody after turning himself into authorities.

George Zimmerman launches website seeking donations, lawyers withdraw from case

In what has become one of the most polarizing and publicized cases in recent memory, the shooting of Trayvon Martin at the hands of George Zimmerman has already had a seemingly endless amount of twists and turns. There’s been outrage and protests at what many view as vigilante justice and racial profiling, then there was a backlash against all the condemnation of Zimmerman including a disturbingly brutal screw up by NBC in which audio was edited in a way that fueled accusations that Zimmerman’s motives were at least in part racially motivated. Now Zimmerman has launched a website seeking donations to assist with his living conditions and defense fund. Read his statement directly from this new site.
