Listen to Lindsay Lohan’s ex DJ Samantha Ronson sing “Summer of Sam”

Linsay Lohan’s ex (and Mark and Charlotte Ronson’s sister) Samantha Ronson has been an in-demand celebrity DJ around LaLaLAnd for some time, and now she’s trying to make it as a pop singer (again.)

Samantha actually put out about three songs in 2002 when she was signed to Roc-A-Fella Records, and they were all used in soundtracks for movies. “Built This Way” was used in Lindsay Lohan’s Mean Girls
, “Pull My Hair Out” was used in The Woodsman (starring Kevin Bacon), and “Wanted” was used in the Ryan Gosling movie Half Nelson.

Here’s a video of her singing “Summer of Sam” from Chasing the Reds on Live! with Kelly. It features an interlude set to the melody of “The Alphabet Song”

Here’s one of Samantha’s songs from ten years ago, “Pull My Hair Out.”

Samantha’s album Chasing the Reds came out November 2011. Click here to order.

What do you think of Samantha’s singing? Should she stick to DJing?
