Lindsay Lohan has dinner with Woody Allen, might be in his next movie

Film legend auteur Woody Allen had dinner last night with Lindsay Lohan, leaving us to speculate that she may be cast in his next project.

76-year-old Woody, who is cherished by film buffs for his now classic films like Annie Hall and Manhattan, still has a golden touch, and being cast in one of his films is usually a huge career boost for young Hollywood actresses. He actually just had his biggest box office success last year with Midnight in Paris, which he also got an Oscar nod for writing. In 2008 Penelope Cruz won an Oscar for her role in his Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Other young starlets like Scarlett Johansson, Naomi Watts, and Rachel McAdams have been his “muses” lately, and definitely stars like Diane Keaton and Mia Farrow (his ex wife) practically owe their careers to being in his films.

Maybe Lindsay really is recovering her career after all. From drug addiction and years of legal issues to staring in a Lifetime movie as Elizabeth Taylor, to being cast in a Woody Allen flick: that’s quite a trajectory she might be on.

Lindsay and Woody were photographed exiting Phillippe Chow restaurant (not pictured is Woody’s wife Soon-Yi Previn, who was also at the dinner.)
