General curator for the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo in New York Pat Thomas did an experiment in 2003 with a variety of popular perfumes to see which ones held the big cat’s attention for the longest. It’s actually an old zoo trick to spray perfume on rocks and trees to keep the animals from getting too bored, but some work much better than others. Your Cat: The Owner’s Manual author Dr. Marty Becker took this information to mean you can also spray this fragrance on say, a scratching post, or maybe a toy, to get your own kitty’s attention focused. I haven’t read the book, but he put this information out there on GMA, so we assume that he’s actually tried this on actual domesticated small kitty cats. He did write the book on cats, after all.

I’m gonna be honest: I was never quite into the Twilight movies, and Kristen Stewart’s acting (and sometimes her behavior in interviews) never wowed me, but I’m excited to see Snow White and the Huntsmen.

I’ve known it’s coming but I still got a big ol’ lump in my throat as I took a look at the first trailer for the 4th and final season of the game changing MTV reality show Teen Mom. The clip does a great job in just over 2 minutes at setting us up for the drama that can be expected to play out as we follow Farrah, Maci, Catelynn and Amber one last time. Tonight’s PBS documentary series American Masters covers the life of late night legend Johnny Carson. Filmmaker Peter Jones sat down for a teaser interview with The Insider to talk about what he discovered about Johnny’s alleged addictions to alcohol and sex. Jones spoke with three out of four of Johnny’s wives, and they all had a common experience with Johnny’s drinking and philandering. Apparently he (like a lot of people) would have a couple of drinks to relieve stress, but from Johnny’s own admission, he was not a happy drunk.

22-year-old Hannah Luce is the sole survivor of a fiery plane crash in Kansas that tragically took the lives of 4 others. She is currently in a Kansas City hospital with burns covering 28% of her body. One of those lost was former Marine Austin Anderson who heroically embodied the spirit of Semper Fidelis by sacrificing his own life, with burns over 90% of his body, to save Hannah’s.
Swamp People star Mitchell Guist died this morning. Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack tells WBRZ the incident occurred around 9 a.m. in St. Martin Parish along the Belle River. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ “someone tried to perform CPR on Guist … but attempts to resuscitate the reality star were unsuccessful.” Friends close to Guist tell the site he had recently fallen ill, but there are no further details at this time.
UPDATE – According to law enforcement sources, Glenn was out in his boat along the Belle River … when he “fell.” Witnesses say he appeared to have been suffering from a seizure.
