It appears as though Jersey Shore‘s curly-headed walking six-pack known as “The Unit” is in a bit of a “situation.” The Unit (real name Jonathan “Jonny” Manfre, 32) was arrested back in July when Seaside Heights Police found him in possession of a white powdery substance that turned out to be Ketamine, a dissociative anesthetic sometimes used as a date rape drug. He has since been charged with felony drug possession and faces 3-5 years behind bars if convicted.

Last night the world, or at least the millions of peeps who tuned into the season 5 premiere of Jersey Shore, got introduced to The Situation’s Guido-BFF, The Unit. But “The Unit” got his nickname because of other endowments, namely, as he told MTV’s Remote Control Blog the “mini-baseball bat in my pants.” He’s previously made press for being arrested at the Jersey Shore house this July for possessing “white powdery substance.” No one’s wrangled up his mug shot, but he was led away from the Shore house in handcuffs. When Jersey Shore star Jenni “JWoww” Farley found out she was going to be on the cover of Maxim for their January 2012 issue she was overjoyed. “I cried when I found out,” she says in an interview. “I was jumping up and down and totally bugging out. This is probably my highest accomplishment.” But, that was before she actually saw the cover, which is drawing criticisms from JWoww detractors and fans alike, most of whom say the photo isn’t very flattering and doesn’t even really look like her. Ladies and manscapers around the globe have pined for the answer as to how Jersey Shore’s Snooki maintains her quasi-orange sheen about her lovely countenance. Apparently during the taping of this season’s reunion special Snooki was drunk and slurring her words at 11 a.m. She was angry at The Situation over his continued claims that she cheated on Jionni with him, and reportedly was heard on the mike asking producers backstage to get her a drink. She was reportedly denied the drink until shooting finished.

I suppose it could be said that there isn’t a lot to be learned from watching Jersey Shore, but three of the things I have learned are:
1. Don’t leave the show early, then come back the next season and leave the show early again.
2. Don’t date Ronnie.
3.. Do not f*** with JWoww!

It’s been one week since Vinny Guadagnino stormed out of the Jersey Shore Seaside Heights beach house and returned to his home in Staten Island, allegedly never to return. But, it seems all Vinny needed was some drama-free R&R away from his cast mates to revitalize his GTL spirit because he was photographed earlier today with the rest of the guys looking as though they were loading up to go on a road trip together!
It seems so long ago, but just a couple of years back we were introduced to reality dad Jon Gosselin’s rebound girlfriend Hailey Glassman, and this photo surfaced of his new love passed out on a potted plant.
Now Snooki, who is deep in the bowels of Seaside Heights, a particularly meaningless and chaotic world, has also been intimate with potted vegetation while inebriated (“potted” is the key word here, most drunk people have found solace in somebody’s expertly pruned shrubs at some point in their party career.)
