Last night was the final episode of the first season of MTV’s Teen Mom reality show, which followed the lives of four mothers that were originally on the network’s very popular 16 and Pregnant series last season. I’ve been following the show and making posts all season and although I’ve been quick to poke a little fun at some of the folks in the show (When is Butch getting his own series?!?), I have to confess that when it’s all said and done the series was nothing short of an enlightening documentary.

VIDEO Olathe NW HS Basketball Half Court Shot Prank gone wrong

Students at Olathe Northwest High School in Olathe, Kansas decided they would try to imitate the infamous Prank Wars Half Court Shot Prank video in which College Humor’s Streeter blindfolded Amir and let him take a half court shot at a basketball game for a chance at $500,000. The joke was on Amir as the crowd had been told to react as though the shot went in regardless, so when Amir missed badly to the left, the crowd erupted and of course the poor boy thought he had won.

Contrary to popular belief, they do have internet in Kansas and some students were inspired by the infamous half court prank and they decided to pull the same joke on science teacher and girls basketball coach, Joel Branstrom. Watch the hilarious video as Joel Branstrom turns the table and proves once again, you have to wake up pretty early to get the best of a science teacher!

Well, that got me all excited to see the Red Headed Stranger again, so I road tripped to Macon, Georgia for his show at the Macon City Auditorium January 24, 2010. VIDEO Neil Young “Long May You Run” on Conan O’Brien’s last Tonight Show

Conan O’Brien ended his 20-plus years of working for NBC tonight and not only did he do it with class and dignity, he did it with the Godfather of Grunge Neil Young!!

Conan introduced Neil Young by saying that after it was announced that Conan would no longer be the host of The Tonight Show, Neil was the first to call and offer his support. Neil delivered an acoustic performance of “Long May You Run” that must have punched Conan right in the chrome heart.

Farrah shops around for a new apartment in hopes of not getting into a domestic dispute that would result in her getting choked and her mother Debra Danielson getting arrested. (Spoiler – Farrah didn’t have any luck. See her mom’s mugshot HERE.) Catelynn and Tyler continue to provide stark contrast by being mature, this time with Tyler seriously considering joining the Air Force and proposing to Catelynn.

EXCLUSIVE! The Bachelor’s Vienna Girardi divorce papers

Contestant Vienna Girardi dropped a bombshell on The Bachelor‘s Jake Pavelka in Episode 2 of Season 14 of the populary reality competition show. Vienna told Jake that she was in a relationship with her pastor’s son for four years before breaking up with him at age 17. Her ex quickly married after the breakup and caught up in the emotional whirlpool Vienna also got married, eloping with a man she claimed she “didn’t even know.”

In a previous post we revealed that man to be Joshua William Riley. The two were married on September 6, 2005 at which point Vienna changed her name to Vienna Marie Riley. We just received a copy of the Final Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage – Check it out for yourself!

Everyone is hopping on board the General Larry Platt train after his historical hysterical performance of “Pants On The Ground” during the Atlanta Auditiona of American Idol last week. The latest rider on the train is Minnesota quarterback Brett Favre, who reportedly told receiver Percy Harvin that he would perform the song in the locker room if the Vikings beat the Arizona Cardinals in their NFL playoff match-up.

As you might have guessed, the Vikings did win and showing once again that scruffy white male celebrities honor their wagers (See: Kiefer Sutherland in a dress) Brett Favre lead his team-mates in a rousing rendition of Platt’s “Pants On The Ground.”

VIDEO Mo’Nique’s acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actress Golden Globe

Mo’Nique won the Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture Golden Globe for her performance as Mary Lee Johnston in the movie Precious based on the novel Push by Sapphire. She gave a long, heartfelt acceptance speech in which she thanked God, her husband and director Lee Daniels among many others. It’s a wonderful, touching tribute that was the perfect kickoff for the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards.

Jake Pavelka may have more heartache on the horizon! In addition to Rozlyn Papa, a contestant booted from The Bachelor for an alleged “inappropriate relationship” with a producer on the show, an anonymous source has provided these photographs of contestant Vienna Girardi with a man the source says has been dating Vienna on and off for three years!

The source claims the hunk in the photos is from Vienna’s hometown of Sienna, Florida and that Vienna told her beau “she was going to the bachelor so she can be on TV and to wait for her.” The source also claims that Vienna and he were together the night before she left to be on The Bachelor!

The site is reporting that the wife of Ryan Callahan, the producer who allegedly had a fling with contestant Rozlyn Papa, “filed for divorce May 18th 2009 on grounds of irreconcilable differences.” Her name is Stephanie Thorpe and we’ve got photos and angry tweets!

It’s Wednesday and that means… Teen Mom full episode! Did you miss last night’s episode or just want to watch all the mama drama again? That’s what we’re here for!

A “brief” recap of Teen Mom Episode 6 “Standing Up:” Amber struggles with receiving financial support from Gary and needing to put Leah in daycare. Ryan continues to prove Newton’s First Law: “An object at rest tends to remain at rest.” Meanwhile Maci seems to get bad advice from a relationship counselor that I think has a crush on Ryan. Farrah silences the haters by doing a number of unselfish things including taking Sophia to the library and talking to her estranged sister. Tyler and Catelynn continue to amaze with their ability to deal with an incomprehensibly bizarre situation at home as (let’s see if I can get this right) Tyler’s dad Butch gets in a fight with Catelynn’s mom and comes to stay with his ex-wife (Tyler’s mom). Also, Butch goes to court to see if he can avoid prison after violating his parole.

Man o man! Willie Nelson concert pictures and now Bruce Springsteen frolicking on the beach in St. Barts?!? What’s next – a Bob Dylan mugshot?!? This is too great! I write about celebrities all day everyday but I rarely get to feel like a fanboy – and this is twice in a matter of days! Of course, it’s Bruce shirtless so my fanboyness is going to be interpreted as boyfanness, not that there’s anything wrong with that! By golly I’ll take what I can get! Wait, that didn’t sound right.

ANYWAY… Bruce and wife Patti Scialfa were caught by photographers having fun on the beaches of St. Barts Tuesday. The shirtless Boss seemed to be offering a challenge to Jersey Shore’s “The Situation,” and that challenge is “Greetings From Absbury Park!” We get to see a whole lot of Bruce’s “American Skin” as he proves it’s possible to not look lame while bodysurfing in St. Barts, something Martin short was unsuccessful at just the day before.

Conan O’Brien issues official statement, doesn’t want The Tonight Show to move

There have been all sorts of rumors circulating and jokes being made about NBC’s decision to move Jay Leno back to his 11:30 PM time slot, bumping The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien to 12:05 AM and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to 1:05 AM. Conan himself has made a few cracks about the move, most of which have involved not-so-humorous barbs at NBC. But so far there hasn’t been much to come out of the Conan camp officially.

Well, that’s changed now! Conan issued a long statement this afternoon that addresses all aspects of the NBC Late Night shake-up, including the possibility of moving to another network. Read the entire statement.

Deadline.com broke the story earlier today that Sony’s Spider-Man 4 movie, scheduled for a release date of May 5, 2011, has been scrapped and the franchise will receive a “reboot.” That means director Sam Raimi, Spider-Man 1, 2 and 3 Tobey Maguire and the rest of the cast are no longer going to be part of the web-slinger franchise!

Olivia Namath mugshot photo from marijuana possession arrest

NFL Hall-of-Famer Joe Namath’s 19-year-old daughter Olivia Namath was arrested in Palm Beach County, Florida early Sunday morning and “charged with two counts of marijuana possession, including one with intent to sell, and with possession of alcohol by a minor,” according to The Palm Beach Post.

A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputy pulled Olivia over for speeding after recording her doing 58 mph in a 50 mph zone. The deputy was checking her driver’s license when he noticed the smell of marijuana. A search of the car revealed a bag of pot on the driver’s-side floorboard and an additional 200.5 grams of weed were found in the trunk. The Post says “Namath ‘denied any knowledge’ of the marijuana, though she said no one else had access to her car trunk, according to the deputy’s report.”
