According to an official press release from the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, George Everette Clinton, Jr. was found dead in his Halstead Boulevard apartment in Tallahassee, Florida February 1, 2010. Clinton is the son of Parliament and Funkadelic mastermind George Clinton, who was in attendance at the 52nd GRAMMY Awards the night before in Los Angeles.

There has been all sorts of controversy surrounding Season 9 of ABC’s reality love competition The Bachelor including a “sex scandal” between contestant Rozlyn Papa and producer Ryan Callahan, a spoiling blogger revealing the details of how the entire season would play out including the eventual winner and now one of the remaining five women might have a bunch of topless photos out there for sale!
I have no idea what Fergie was supposed to be during her GRAMMY Awards performance with the Black Eyed Peas, but whatever it is it needs to be a comic book and a movie and a calendar and billboards and Halloween costume… I’m not sure if my attraction to the Fergs in that outfit is because I’m a geek, a fetishist or just a dude, but I strongly suspect it is mostly the latter.

The Jersey Shoritization of the planet took a huge step forward by converting one of the most influential media personalities on the political landscape. Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh revealed his new religion during a preliminary event at the Miss America Pageant called “Judge the Judges.”
The host introduced the talent portion of the “Judge the Judges” competition, explaining that they would be dancing to Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face.” Rush seemed reluctant at first, but then he must have heard the call because he started convulsing and speaking in fist pumps! It’s an exciting time for Canadian-born singer Nikki Yanofsky. She performed two headlining shows this summer at the world’s largest jazz festival in Montreal (the fifth time she has performed there), she was picked by songwriters Alan Frew and Stephan Moccio to record the CTV’s 2010 Winter Olympics broadcast theme “I Believe,” her debut studio album is due out this spring with songwriting help from the likes of Ron Sexsmith, Jesse Harris and Feist and production by the legendary Phil Ramone. Oh, and in a couple months she will be finishing up the 10th grade.

Last night was the final episode of the first season of MTV’s Teen Mom reality show, which followed the lives of four mothers that were originally on the network’s very popular 16 and Pregnant series last season. I’ve been following the show and making posts all season and although I’ve been quick to poke a little fun at some of the folks in the show (When is Butch getting his own series?!?), I have to confess that when it’s all said and done the series was nothing short of an enlightening documentary.

Students at Olathe Northwest High School in Olathe, Kansas decided they would try to imitate the infamous Prank Wars Half Court Shot Prank video in which College Humor’s Streeter blindfolded Amir and let him take a half court shot at a basketball game for a chance at $500,000. The joke was on Amir as the crowd had been told to react as though the shot went in regardless, so when Amir missed badly to the left, the crowd erupted and of course the poor boy thought he had won.
Contrary to popular belief, they do have internet in Kansas and some students were inspired by the infamous half court prank and they decided to pull the same joke on science teacher and girls basketball coach, Joel Branstrom. Watch the hilarious video as Joel Branstrom turns the table and proves once again, you have to wake up pretty early to get the best of a science teacher!

Conan O’Brien ended his 20-plus years of working for NBC tonight and not only did he do it with class and dignity, he did it with the Godfather of Grunge Neil Young!!
Conan introduced Neil Young by saying that after it was announced that Conan would no longer be the host of The Tonight Show, Neil was the first to call and offer his support. Neil delivered an acoustic performance of “Long May You Run” that must have punched Conan right in the chrome heart.

Contestant Vienna Girardi dropped a bombshell on The Bachelor‘s Jake Pavelka in Episode 2 of Season 14 of the populary reality competition show. Vienna told Jake that she was in a relationship with her pastor’s son for four years before breaking up with him at age 17. Her ex quickly married after the breakup and caught up in the emotional whirlpool Vienna also got married, eloping with a man she claimed she “didn’t even know.”

Everyone is hopping on board the General Larry Platt train after his historical hysterical performance of “Pants On The Ground” during the Atlanta Auditiona of American Idol last week. The latest rider on the train is Minnesota quarterback Brett Favre, who reportedly told receiver Percy Harvin that he would perform the song in the locker room if the Vikings beat the Arizona Cardinals in their NFL playoff match-up.
As you might have guessed, the Vikings did win and showing once again that scruffy white male celebrities honor their wagers (See: Kiefer Sutherland in a dress) Brett Favre lead his team-mates in a rousing rendition of Platt’s “Pants On The Ground.”

Mo’Nique won the Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture Golden Globe for her performance as Mary Lee Johnston in the movie Precious based on the novel Push by Sapphire. She gave a long, heartfelt acceptance speech in which she thanked God, her husband and director Lee Daniels among many others. It’s a wonderful, touching tribute that was the perfect kickoff for the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards.

Everyone’s favorite curvaceous 1950s red head from the last ten years Christina Hendricks demonstrated once again why Avatar and women are funner when they’re in three dimensions! As if her own curves weren’t enough, Christina wears a gown with flowing, curving fabric that accentuates her assets without distracting from them. Defying gravity and the fundamentals of architecture the top of the gown is strapless and overflowing. Hendricks would be the top contender for a “Golden Globes” breast reference, but those lovely pale melons are anything but golden. Is there a hip hop term for junk under the hood?
Maxim‘s Number One hottie on the planet Olivia Wilde allowed her girls to breathe in a low-cut sparkling and slinky gown on the red carpet at the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Though not quite as revealing as her Primetime Emmy Awards outfit, I don’t think anyone will be complaining!
James Cameron has directed the two top grossing films of all time with Titanic and Avatar, and it looks like number three is just around the corner! Cameron premiered a digital short of his latest project for an awestruck Lorne Michaels on the January 16 episode of Saturday Night Live.

Jake Pavelka may have more heartache on the horizon! In addition to Rozlyn Papa, a contestant booted from The Bachelor for an alleged “inappropriate relationship” with a producer on the show, an anonymous source has provided these photographs of contestant Vienna Girardi with a man the source says has been dating Vienna on and off for three years!
The source claims the hunk in the photos is from Vienna’s hometown of Sienna, Florida and that Vienna told her beau “she was going to the bachelor so she can be on TV and to wait for her.” The source also claims that Vienna and he were together the night before she left to be on The Bachelor!
