Yet again, Chinese television has outdone itself reenacting a scandal that’s transfixing the United States. From the same talented people who brought us the Tiger Woods CGI reenactment, we now have a computerized version of the 2010 NBC Tonight Show shake-up that forsakes all frivolities and gets right to the heart of the matter. If…

Ke$ha’s feelin’ more like P.Diddy than P.Diddy is right now because you can’t do anything without hearing Ke$ha’s smash hit “Tik Tok.” Her messy hair and surly singing voice have invaded our lives so deeply we can’t help but sing about Ke$ha’s questionable lifestyle choices like brushing her teeth with liquor and picking up men…
It’s a good thing that General Larry Platt of “Pants on the Ground” fame didn’t get picked for American Idol, because he’s bigger than that. To kick off his inevitable World Tour 2010, General Platt stopped by The View Monday (January 18) to give a full rendition of “Pants on the Ground.” Thanks to Simon…
Everyone is hopping on board the General Larry Platt train after his historical hysterical performance of “Pants On The Ground” during the Atlanta Auditiona of American Idol last week. The latest rider on the train is Minnesota quarterback Brett Favre, who reportedly told receiver Percy Harvin that he would perform the song in the locker room if the Vikings beat the Arizona Cardinals in their NFL playoff match-up.
As you might have guessed, the Vikings did win and showing once again that scruffy white male celebrities honor their wagers (See: Kiefer Sutherland in a dress) Brett Favre lead his team-mates in a rousing rendition of Platt’s “Pants On The Ground.”

The look on Chloe Sevigny’s umbrella holder guy says it all. Chloe Sevigny won a Golden Globe tonight for playing a sour fundamentalist polygamist Mormon who lies and complains all the time on HBO’s Big Love. In movies, she usually plays quiet girls with a seductive mystery, but none of them come close to the…
In 2004 Jay Leno felt it was necessary to address the then recent disclosure that he would be handing over The Tonight Show reins to Conan O’Brien in 2009. Leno wanted his audience to understand his conviction as it pertained to this important changing of the guards.
Here’s the last thing he says:
“Because you know when I took this show over, boy there was a lot of animosity between me and Dave and who’s gonna get it, and quite frankly, a lot of … good friendships were permanently damaged. And I don’t want to see anybody ever have to go through that again. Cause this show is like a Dynasty. You hold it, and then you hand it off to the next person. And I don’t want to see all the fighting and all the ‘who’s better?’ and nasty things back and forth in the press so right now, here it is, Conan, it’s yours, see you in 4 years buddy!”

Mo’Nique won the Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture Golden Globe for her performance as Mary Lee Johnston in the movie Precious based on the novel Push by Sapphire. She gave a long, heartfelt acceptance speech in which she thanked God, her husband and director Lee Daniels among many others. It’s a wonderful, touching tribute that was the perfect kickoff for the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards.

The planet’s sexiest nerd Tina Fey decided to abandon the androgynizing pant suit and grace the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards red carpet in an almost cartoonishly girly strapless bell skirt. Speaking as a card-holding member of the Tina Feytish Society, all I have to say is… BLERG YES!
Everyone’s favorite curvaceous 1950s red head from the last ten years Christina Hendricks demonstrated once again why Avatar and women are funner when they’re in three dimensions! As if her own curves weren’t enough, Christina wears a gown with flowing, curving fabric that accentuates her assets without distracting from them. Defying gravity and the fundamentals of architecture the top of the gown is strapless and overflowing. Hendricks would be the top contender for a “Golden Globes” breast reference, but those lovely pale melons are anything but golden. Is there a hip hop term for junk under the hood?
Here’s Jeff Bridges singing the Golden Globe winning original song from a motion picture, “The Weary Kind,” from Crazy Heart. “The Weary Kind” was written by Ryan Bingham for Jeff Bridges to play a depressed, alcoholic, past-his-prime country singer, and it lives up to that in the best kind of way. PLUS bonus is a…
The first dude to be highlighted in our 67th Annual Golden Globe red carpet coverage is the always hunktastic Chace Crawford who was wearing an all black suit with a thin black tie and matching black 3 o’clock shadow. A testament to Chace’s undeniable charm is the fact that he is one of the few males photographers bother taking a full body photo of. So, enjoy drinking the entire glass of the tall drink of water that is Chace Crawford!
Maxim‘s Number One hottie on the planet Olivia Wilde allowed her girls to breathe in a low-cut sparkling and slinky gown on the red carpet at the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Though not quite as revealing as her Primetime Emmy Awards outfit, I don’t think anyone will be complaining!

James Cameron has directed the two top grossing films of all time with Titanic and Avatar, and it looks like number three is just around the corner! Cameron premiered a digital short of his latest project for an awestruck Lorne Michaels on the January 16 episode of Saturday Night Live.
Avatar was cool and all that, but the special effects of Laser Cats 5 make that movie look like claymation from the ’70s! But don’t take my word for it, see for yourself!

2009 was a fantastic year for Meryl Streep: she got props for playing a stuffy and repressed nun in Doubt, got even bigger attention for her lighthearted roles in Julie & Julia and It’s Complicated, and shown brightly as a role model for women everyone to age gracefully and joyfully, but it’s been an even…
As the ratings for Gossip Girl continue to plummet at an alarming rate (backstabbing and uppityness just isn’t as interesting when it goes to college), we continue to see the results of lucrative deals that were inked back when the show was still hip. Case in point: Taylor Momsen’s new perfume and line of cosmetics for Victoria’s Secret called “Love Rocks.” See the zombie-eyed blond starlet pushing her wares at a store that used to be just as hip as Gossip Girl used to be, Hot Topic. Also, an exclusive starcasm sneak peek at another Taylor Momsen beauty product in the works! You won’t believe her eyes when you see it!
Jon Gosselin, who was working his infamy like a hooker with DDD’s this summer (and giving Michael Lohan a cut), is now jobless and almost homeless after TLC put the kibosh on his media appearances because of contractual obligations and he suffered a major blow-out with his rebound flame Hailey Glassman. But things always work…
Jake Pavelka may have more heartache on the horizon! In addition to Rozlyn Papa, a contestant booted from The Bachelor for an alleged “inappropriate relationship” with a producer on the show, an anonymous source has provided these photographs of contestant Vienna Girardi with a man the source says has been dating Vienna on and off for three years!
The source claims the hunk in the photos is from Vienna’s hometown of Sienna, Florida and that Vienna told her beau “she was going to the bachelor so she can be on TV and to wait for her.” The source also claims that Vienna and he were together the night before she left to be on The Bachelor!

Just in time for their NFL playoff clash with the New York Jets this weekend, San Diego Chargers’ running back LaDanian Tomlinson pulled the ultimate jinx maneuver and recorded a cheesy music video. But, even though I am pulling for the Chargers, I have to admit it’s perty dang funny! Check out LT as he walks you through his version of the Electric Slide called the “LT Slide!”
General Larry Platt’s “Pants On The Ground” has taken the nation by storm! DJ Larry P performed the showstopper on American Idol Wednesday night and by Thursday morning there were at least three different remixes going viral! (His performance is here too!)
But all that is just plain silliness. It took the great Canadian Grandfather of Grunge Neil Young to reveal the emotional depths of this song. I almost promise his rendition on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon will bring you to tears:
American Idol had it’s fair share of showstoppers during the Atlanta Auditions Episode Wednesday night including the incomparable “Pants on the Floor” and “Mugshot” Skiiboski. But, the real sweetheart of the Idol rodeo was Stephanie Wolfe, the 19-year-old bridge-jumping country girl from Vonore, TN that twanged out a Southern-fried version of Bob Dylan’s “Wagon Wheel.” The judges were instantly smitten by HillBillie Holiday’s pipes and personality, giving her the coveted Golden Ticket!

January 13 was another sassy night during the last days of The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. Conan, who is punchy from all the , opened with “I’m Conan O’Brien and I’ve been practicing the phrase ‘Who ordered the mocha-cappucino grande?’” But one of the best parts of the night was when Jack McBrayer stopped…
Conan O’Brien will air his last show January 22, a source tells PEOPLE (via PopEater), which will give him a full week to think of new and funnier ways to humiliate NBC on air. Meanwhile, CoCo’s fans, including Starcasm.net, are rallying behind him online via Facebook and Twitter using a political-style poster image created by…
The fallout from the “inappropriate relationship” scandal on the set of season 14 of The Bachelor goes beyond cast and crew according to Radar Online. The site is reporting that the wife of Ryan Callahan, the producer who allegedly had a fling with contestant Rozlyn Papa, “filed for divorce May 18th 2009 on grounds of irreconcilable differences.” Her name is Stephanie Thorpe and we’ve got photos and angry tweets!
In last night’s episode of The Real World Washington, D.C. “Ty the Tool” and Texas gal Callie were in a conversation about Playboy when he told her “You don’t have to worry, you’re not skinny enough anyway.”
Uh oh.
His statement has sparked a debate about whether or not society is irrationally judgmental when it comes to a woman’s weight. As with 90% of all problems, we at starcasm believe the problem can be settled with… BIKINI PHOTOS! Check out the fun-spirited Callie for yourself and take the poll!
Find out why anti-terrorist tough guy Kiefer Sutherland wore a dress on The Late Show with David Letterman!
CLICK HERE to see Heidi before and after her latest surgeries. There’s a good reason we haven’t seen a lot of Heidi Montag lately, which is especially odd around the Holidays, but it’s not because she’s finally tired of the spotlight. Radar Online revealed the name of the producer from The Bachelor that was fired for an alleged inappropriate relationship with contestant Rozlyn Papa. (Read all about that “scandal” HERE.) His name is Tim Callahan and he is an experienced television producer that has worked on such shows as The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and The Cougar. See photos and a video from a matching defunct myspace account for a Ryan Callahan listing “reality television” as his profession! Could this be the studly dude that beat out Jake Pavelka?!?
There is so much teen mama drama on MTV’s reality series Teen Mom that is seems impossible someone on the show could distract from it, but that’s exactly what Butch, the uber-mulletted father of Tyler and step-father of Catelynn, did during last night’s episode “Standing Up!” Read all about his crazy storyline and his criminal past, including a possible contender for The Celebrity Mugshot Hall of Fame!
It’s Wednesday and that means… Teen Mom full episode! Did you miss last night’s episode or just want to watch all the mama drama again? That’s what we’re here for!
A “brief” recap of Teen Mom Episode 6 “Standing Up:” Amber struggles with receiving financial support from Gary and needing to put Leah in daycare. Ryan continues to prove Newton’s First Law: “An object at rest tends to remain at rest.” Meanwhile Maci seems to get bad advice from a relationship counselor that I think has a crush on Ryan. Farrah silences the haters by doing a number of unselfish things including taking Sophia to the library and talking to her estranged sister. Tyler and Catelynn continue to amaze with their ability to deal with an incomprehensibly bizarre situation at home as (let’s see if I can get this right) Tyler’s dad Butch gets in a fight with Catelynn’s mom and comes to stay with his ex-wife (Tyler’s mom). Also, Butch goes to court to see if he can avoid prison after violating his parole.

These NBC Late Night wars have everyone stirred up. Tonight Conan let loose on NBC during his monologue, and David Letterman devoted a segment to “coalescing his thoughts on the NBC television debacle.” Letterman is enjoying the NBC mess because he was once caught up in a similar late night war at NBC that ended…
Man o man! Willie Nelson concert pictures and now Bruce Springsteen frolicking on the beach in St. Barts?!? What’s next – a Bob Dylan mugshot?!? This is too great! I write about celebrities all day everyday but I rarely get to feel like a fanboy – and this is twice in a matter of days! Of course, it’s Bruce shirtless so my fanboyness is going to be interpreted as boyfanness, not that there’s anything wrong with that! By golly I’ll take what I can get! Wait, that didn’t sound right.
ANYWAY… Bruce and wife Patti Scialfa were caught by photographers having fun on the beaches of St. Barts Tuesday. The shirtless Boss seemed to be offering a challenge to Jersey Shore’s “The Situation,” and that challenge is “Greetings From Absbury Park!” We get to see a whole lot of Bruce’s “American Skin” as he proves it’s possible to not look lame while bodysurfing in St. Barts, something Martin short was unsuccessful at just the day before.

Sarah Palin made her first Fox News appearance since officially joining the network earlier this week, sitting in with Bill O’Reilly on The Factor January 12th. I usually have little to no tolerance for the partisan political bibble babble infecting our cable “news” stations, but Bill O’Reilly is one of those folks that has the ability to be rational and nonpartisan at times, and his sit down with Sarah Palin was no exception. Watch the video!
Conan O’Brien released a statement today saying that he refuses to stay with “The Tonight Show” if it’s moved to a 12:05 a.m. time slot, because really, that wouldn’t make it the “The Tonight Show” anymore, and would lead to the destruction of the show as an institution started by Johnny Carson. Also, he’s justifiably…
Shaquille O’Neal and Wilt Chamberlain have more in common than being 7′ 1″ and playing in the NBA! Wilt famously claimed in his second autobiography A View from Above that he had slept with over 20,000 women, and thanks to Radar Online we know Shaq is at most 19,996 away from matching that feat! (Any more and I may have to construct a mistress scorecard like Tiger’s!)
In addition to a five-year fling with Orlando-based model and perpetual victim of celebrity stalking Vanessa Lopez, Shaq has also been linked to Laura Govan, fiance of NBA player Gilbert Arenas.
But wait! If you order now, you also get a third mistress absolutely free! Radar Online broke the story today that Shaq has been shooting balls through the hoop of “25-year-old Swedish model and aspiring actress” Dominica Westling! See photos of the blond bombshell.
Kim Zolciak needs to buy herself an extra fancy bottle of wine tonight and a new skin-tight dress to celebrate, because all the Real Housewives want to be her, including New York Mistress of Decorum LuAnn deLesseps. LuAnn, who literally wrote the book on class, recently admitted that she’s already written and recorded a dance…
There have been all sorts of rumors circulating and jokes being made about NBC’s decision to move Jay Leno back to his 11:30 PM time slot, bumping The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien to 12:05 AM and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to 1:05 AM. Conan himself has made a few cracks about the move, most of which have involved not-so-humorous barbs at NBC. But so far there hasn’t been much to come out of the Conan camp officially.
Well, that’s changed now! Conan issued a long statement this afternoon that addresses all aspects of the NBC Late Night shake-up, including the possibility of moving to another network. Read the entire statement.
Gretchen Rossi has miserably failed to walk in Kim Zolciak’s fabulous glitter heels by recording a syrupy single, “Nothing Without You,” and quietly releasing it on amazon. Rossi’s song isn’t going to make any itunes hits, or have drunk drag queens dance to it in the club for many reasons. The first reason is that…
