Should Facebook have a dislike button?

The “like” button on Facebook seems a bit limited, it can’t possibly express all the feelings we have about a status, post, or link that we want to acknowledge, and even bolster up in some way. Facebook considered adding a dislike button, but have decided to not go through with it. For now, we are still stuck with “likes” only.

Selena Gomez unfollowed everyone on Instagram, deleted pictures with celebrity friends

PHOTO Man dangles dog from 2nd story balcony so it can go potty

Have you ever thought to yourself, “It’s raining so instead of taking my dog for a walk on the street – you know, where his legs support his body and what not — I’m just gonna hang the ol’ pooch off the balcony via his leash so he can do his business.” Yeah, me neither… WTF!?! Sadly, 23-year-old Tyler Smith of Greenville, South Carolina did just that and the pathetically lazy and ignorant decision was caught on camera and shared via Facebook. See the photo, find out what happened to Tyler and read what the dog’s owner, Tyler’s father, had to say about his son’s actions.

SiliCon Valley: How one young woman Photoshopped her way to the top

Apparently, being a Photoshop wiz can land you in the upper echelons of Silicon Valley — just not by following the path you might imagine. That was the case with Shirley Hornstein, who climbed her way onto a top-40 list of the most influential women investing in technology in Silicon Valley, by doing little more than dropping names and digitally altering photos.

Instagram issues statement about new terms of service controversy

The internet was all in a tizzy yesterday after the popular photo App Instagram (now owned by Facebook) announced their new terms of service, which appear to give the company the right to sell your photos, name, and comments to advertisers without your consent and without notifying you at all. Because of the outcry the company’s co-founder posted a statement addressing users’ concerns in which he says it was never their intention to sell users’ photos and that the wording of the terms would be amended before they go into effect in mid-January. Keep reading for the full statement, which sounds a little like they just plain ol’ got busted!

Teen girl bank robber arrested after posting Youtube video bragging about it

I’m not sure if there is a Bank Robber’s Handbook, but if so, 19-year-old Hannah Sabata of Stromsburg, Nebraska must have the old edition that doesn’t include the new chapter on not bragging about your crimes on the internet! York County law enforcement arrested Hannah at her home on Wednesday for her part in a Waco, Nebraska bank robbery and car theft thanks in part to Hannah uploading a video to Youtube announcing she had robbed a bank and stolen a car!

But in an amazing case of not judging a book by its cover, we’ve uncovered some online journal entries written by Hannah that reveal an amazingly horrible past that includes an extended stay at a mental hospital after an attempted overdose and getting pregnant at the age of 17 after contracting AIDS from a carnival worker, only to have her baby taken away before she could even take him home from the hospital. So was this just a huge cry for help?
