MTV producers reportedly sat down with the cast of Jersey Shore in Seaside Heights just before filming began on the sixth installment of the popular reality show began and explained that this would be the last season. “An executive producer announced that this season will be the last,” an insider reveals in the new issue of In Touch, on newsstands now. “She stressed to the cast that fans will remember them for this season, not the first, so they should bring their A game.”

Tonight the cast of Jersey Shore makes their triumphant return to television and to Seaside Heights as Snooki, Pauly D, JWoww, The Situation, Vinny, Sammi, Ronnie, and Deena kick off the Season 5 Premiere of MTV’s smash hit reality series. Who ever would have ever thought that those tanned, drunk, half-naked, ridiculously nicknamed Guido and Guidettes gettin’ nasty in a hot tub would go on to become six five of the biggest celebrities on the planet?!?

Starcasm.net started not long before Jersey Shore debuted on MTV, so it was one of the first shows we covered from the very beginning. So, in honor of five seasons of contagious charismatic clubbing and GTL, I though I might compile Starcasm’s Top 5 Jersey Shore Posts Ever highlighting our lengthy and rather intimate (don’t worry – we used virus protection) relationship with the guys and gals of Joisey Shore!

Someway, somehow the entire cast of Jersey Shore have survived almost 10 consecutive weeks living together without anyone getting killed. The beleaguered GTLers were photographed leaving the infamous Seaside Heights beach house after wrapping up filming Season 5, just in time to get home and watch the Season 4 premiere Thursday night featuring all their Italian misadventures. The guys and gals of Jersey Shore spent five long weeks in Florence, Italy filming the fourth season of their popular reality series for MTV. As you might imagine, their sojourn generated a number of memorable images (You can see my Top Ten List HERE) but earlier today MTV released an official cast photo featuring all eight Guidos and Guidettes dashing down the streets of Florence in full Seaside glam regalia!

The prodigal sons and daughters have returned! The cast of Jersey Shore are back in their old digs in the infamous beach house where it all began to begin shooting Season 5 of the show on Monday. In a surprise move, MTV decided to bump up filming of Season 5 to maintain the chemistry of the cast – which also meant the guys and gals have been basically sequestered since their stint in Italy ended a little over a week ago. It seems like only yesterday Snooki was loading her stuffed alligator onto an airplane at Newark airport, signaling the beginning of the five-week Jersey Shore invasion of Florence, Italy. Well, now the five weeks are up and the porta party that is the Jersey Shore cast are packing their bags and heading back stateside. Keep reading for the sad scene as all eight guys and gals pack up and head out, leaving Florence basically intact.

The guys and gals of Jersey Shore put on their Saturday night best and posed for an official photoshoot on the streets of Florence along with an Italian flag (held by Vinny Guadagnino, whose extended family is from Italy) and a gold Vespa scooter. I don’t know that they’ve ever looked better!

Maybe it’s because the clubs don’t open until late in Florence, or it maybe it’s because there are no clubs in Florence, but whatever the reason the cast of Jersey Shore hit the streets for their first night out in Italy and wound up smushing some carousel horses!
