Nearly 3,000 Hollywood insiders — including actors, producers, directors and more — were asked by The Hollywood Reporter what they think is the best TV show ever…and the No. 1 pick was Friends!

I can see why Friends napped the top spot. Compared with shows like The Sopranos and Breaking Bad, it’s so inoffensive that few people can say they just don’t like it. Plus, as co-creator David Crane put it, “Kids today are embracing it. You’d think they’d be like, ‘This is tired, old TV.'”
What is unexpected about the results is that Friends is much farther down IMDb’s Highest Rated TV Shows list, at No. 23. The voting public there called Breaking Bad the best show ever, followed by Game of Thrones, The Wire, and Sherlock.
