LOVE AFTER LOCKUP Amber Eggers has died at age 41
Love After Lockup star Amber Eggers has passed away at the age of 41.
@merrypants and @kikiandkibbitz broke the tragic news moments ago in Instagram. “Amber Eggers has lost her fight today and passed away. The doctors did everything they could, but in the end, her body just couldn’t keep fighting. And if you knew Amber, you know she is a fighter.”
“Amber was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday Sept 1st with liver failure,” the Instagram post continues. “The doctors did everything they could, but in the end, her body just couldn’t keep fighting.”
Friends and family of Amber’s have confirmed the news on social media as they all try to process the tragic loss of someone that positively impacted so many lives.
“My niece just passed away,” Amber’s uncle wrote on Facebook. “They were trying to get her on life support, but her body just couldn’t handle what it was dealing with! Uncle Randy will always love you!”
“Could really use all the prayers right now,” another family member posted. “Nothing I could do or say could ever prepare me for this kind of loss. Please hold our family close in your hearts.”
UPDATE – Amber’s close friend Cacedra (aka “Queen”) shared an emotional post about Amber’s passing:
Amber has had a series of very serious medical issues over the past 16 months. In May of 2025 she was placed on life support due to complications from untreated pneumonia.
In July of this year, Amber revealed on Facebook that she was just released from the ICU after suffering a mini-stroke.
Amber Eggers is one of the most beloved of all the cast members from the various shows in the Love after Lockup franchise. It is devastating to report on her passing at such a young age.
Amber joins too many other Love After Lockup cast members we have lost too soon, including Alla Subbotina (31), Tracie Wagaman (41), Scott Davey (54), Asonta Gholston (33), and Justin Johnson (35).
