The relationship between Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian has confused onlookers for months, ever since Lamar was hospitalized for a drug overdose and seizures. It looks like things might have gotten even more confusing this weekend, now that multiple outlets are reporting that Khloe has moved Lamar into a private rehabilitation facility, so he can get more specific treatment for his injuries. However, it’s possible that Khloe did so without telling anyone in Lamar Odom’s family what she intended…and without letting Lamar himself know what was going on.
Speculation about Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian has been rampant ever since Khloe had a judge call off the pair’s pending divorce so that she could take charge of medical decisions for the ailing former NBA star. Since then, she’s drawn fire for continuing to date current NBA star James Harden; for saying that she “needs to focus more on [her]self in 2016”; for allegedly letting onlookers believe that she was paying Lamar’s medical bills, when she was apparently administering the payments from Lamar’s own accounts; and, most recently, for saying that she “definitely” plans to use Lamar–or at least his story–in her forthcoming new chat show Kocktails With Khloe.
It would appear that a rift has grown between at least Khloe Kardashan and Lamar’s camp, members of which are said to be frustrated with he reality TV star’s misleading ways. (It was Odom’s family who shared the first post-hospitalization photo of Odom–seen above–and not Khloe; observers aren’t sure exactly how much time she’s spent by Lamar’s bedside.) Now, the latest report is that Khloe had Lamar moved “secretly,” from the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles to an undisclosed rehabilitation center “near” her home in Calabasas.
A separate, similarly timed Us report claims that “the move was made quickly and without notifying even Odom’s family.” And a Daily Mail dispatch quotes an upbeat insider who felt that Khloe did the exact right thing: “At the center [of everything], Lamar will continue to receive amazing therapy,” the supporter gushed. “He still has many challenges but is making progress. He is a fighter!”
Odom’s family–most members of whom live in New York, where his children attend school–has yet to offer comment on the latest Lamar Odom update.
