Former NBA star Lamar Odom is in rehab.
Odom has checked himself into a San Diego area facility, according to reports from multiple news outlets.
A source told E! News:
“It was his own decision. He wanted to work on his mental and physical health for the next chapter of his life. He has not fallen off the wagon, but he understands the importance of maintaining his sobriety.”
The news comes a year after Odom suffered a near-fatal overdose at a Las Vegas brothel. Since then he’s been spotted out a few times at bars drinking and was rumored to have been homeless for a while.
TMZ reports that Odom has already been at the facility for four days.
The final divorce decree between Odom and reality TV star Khloe Kardashian was recently signed by a judge and will be legally binding as of December 17.
