VIDEO Who will be the new regional manager for The Office?
The most recent season of the best comedy on TV, The Office, concluded with the departure of regional manager Michael Scott, played by Steve Carell, from Dunder Mifflin. There was a subsequent search committee headed by Jim for a new manager after Dwight, Deangelo Vickers, played by Will Ferrell, and Creed all failed miserably at the helm.
It was revealed that James Spader as the Jedi-like salesman Robert California was to become the man but wait one second, he’s the man so much he becomes CEO of Sabre in short order. So in the end this leaves that all important Scott vacated seat still open! In an extended preview clip posted by NBC they discuss how Robert California and the search for a new regional manager will be a big part of Season 8’s story line.
After doing a thorough images post on California I have to admit that I’m already hypnotized by his prowess and I think he’s going to be a fantastic addition to the show. So I ask you, in light of the fact that Michael’s seat will still be open who should be the regional manager in Scranton?
I’m going to cast a wild vote and go with my girl Pam! No one is more familiar with how that position operates and it would be wonderfully awkward to see her as Jim’s boss (and Dwight’s for that matter). I guess we’ll all begin to find out with the premiere set for September 22.
