According to the latest Scott Disick rehab update, Kardashian family matriarch Kris Jenner has paid the troubled 32-year-old a visit in his Malibu rehab facility–and she brought along Disick’s three children for moral support. Sources close to both Disick and the Kardashian-Jenner alliance say Kourtney’s estranged long-term boyfriend is doing much better, and is working to exorcise the “demons” from his life. Of note, however, is the fact that Kourtney has yet to visit Scott herself.
According to eyewitness reports, Kris Jenner appeared to have come straight from her daughters’ weekend pyjama party, as she was still clad in her nightwear. She brought Disick and Kourtney Kardashian’s three children–Mason, 5; Penelope, 3; and Reign, 10 months–but Kourtney elected to stay behind and finish off the party.
Said one source connected to both Scott and Kourtney, Kourtney thinks that “Scott needs to feel a responsibility for himself and his kids.” However, the source added “He is getting there. It needs to not be about making Kourtney happy, which is what he has always focused on. He knows he needs to focus on doing what’s right because it’s right. He needs to realize that everything about his kids is his responsibility.”
Disick has been in rehab for two weeks, ever since he checked himself in to try and prove to Kourtney that, this time, he’s serious. The current stint is Disick’s fourth overall.
“[Scott] is doing better,” an insider told People. “He has cut out a lot of the bad influences in his life, and is trying to focus on getting back to normal.”
At the same time, the insider added, “He’s still got the demons; they haven’t gone away. But now he recognizes that he has those demons, which is a big step for Scott. He hasn’t acknowledged his struggles before, not in a meaningful way. He’s always just wanted to hold on and hope that he’ll do okay. Now he’s digging deeper.”
Disick did leave rehab briefly in order to be with Lamar Odom following Odom’s Las Vegas drug overdose and hospitalization. When Odom’s condition stabilized, Disick returned to rehab of his own volition and has been there ever since.
