Final photo and obituary for Lisa from My 600 Lb Life
My 600 Lb Life‘s Lisa Fleming, one of the most polarizing and controversial figures to appear on the show’s entire run, had a heart attack and passed away unexpectedly this past summer. Though Lisa was unable to lose significant weight over the course of her episode, her daughter Danielle has since claimed that Lisa dropped over 200 pounds in the months before her death.
Danielle also shared a moving tribute to her mother — including one of the final photos of Lisa from My 600 Lb Life. We received a screengrab of the pic before it was seemingly deleted — along with Danielle’s moving tribute to her mother.
Lisa from My 600 Lb Life became something of a viral sensation after her episode aired, thanks to the unusual discovery of maggots in the folds of her skin. Beyond that, Lisa’s overall attitude toward Dr. Now and her manipulative ways raised the ire of the show’s fans. Before Lisa’s death, her episode was widely regarded as one of the worst of the show’s sixth season, if not the show’s entire run.
But fan opinion began to turn somewhat following news of Lisa’s passing. Her daughter, Danielle Fleming, made that new public in a Facebook post shortly after Lisa died on August 23rd. Unfortunately, Danielle was unable to get home in time to see Lisa before she passed, so she poured her feelings out on the screen. Below is Danielle’s post, followed by a transcript of her goodbye to her mother:
I am truly at a loss for words right now. God knows I wanted you to hold on until I got here but He knew what was best for me. I didn’t need to see you like that! This morning I sat and held your hand for 4 hours knowing nothing I could’ve done would bring you back to me. Anybody who knows me knows I gave my mother my ALL! She was my world and I was her #NumberOneGirl ❤️ Mommy, I love you from here to the stars and back! Those babies loved you even more. I’m happy you’re no longer in pain and stuck in that bed. Y’all pray for me, check on me, come see about me because I am not ok! I love my mama & I wouldn’t wish this pain on my worse enemy.
Rest In Peace, Mother Arleasher M. Fleming!

At the bottom of Danielle’s post was a photo of her hand holding onto her mother’s. It’s cut off in the image above; here it is in full:
There doesn’t appear to be a Lisa Fleming obituary in the strict sense of the word. However, Lisa’s family has established a memorial page, via Integrity Funeral Care. Fans can leave well-wishes, or light a digital memorial candle.
Lisa Fleming’s death marked the third passing of a member of the My 600 Lb Life Season 6 cast. Robert Buchel, the first of the show’s participants to die during filming, suffered a fatal heart attack on November 15, 2017. And fan favorite James “LB” Bonner committed suicide on August 2nd, 2018.
