Apparently through all of the drama over the release of The Interview, Sony forgot to license a song featured in the film.
The Interview managed to have a stellar box office after weeks of fear and complications surrounding its release. Only opening in 330 theaters (only 10% of U.S. theaters,) including one owned by George R. R. Martin in Santa Fe, it pulled in over $1 million during it’s Christmas premiere.
Around 200 theaters nationwide are throwing caution (and good taste) to the wind and showing The Interview on Christmas Day. Here’s a list of them.
Reversing its position after the reported North Korea hacking, Sony has announced that it will be releasing The Interview on Christmas day as originally planned — both in theaters and via video on demand!

Although Sony plans to continue to distribute their Seth Rogen-James Franco comedy The Interview after cyber terrorists threatened 9/11 type catastrophes at theaters showing the film, hundreds of theaters have decided not to show the movie.
The Sony hackers issued their most ominous threat yet by saying a “bitter fate” awaits anyone who watches The Interview in theaters. They compared their plans to the September 11th attacks.
