The first adaptation of E. L. James' successful books was a critical dud, though it did fairly well at the box office. But there's been nothing but bad news out of the cinematic camp since before Fifty Shades was released on Valentine's Day, and more than one Hollywood exec feels the follow-up is potentially doomed.
