In a summer marked by major celebrity splits, are Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith–who have been married for seventeen years and have two children together–the next to announce their separation?
“For Will and Jada, holding it together these past few years has been tough because their marriage has been on life support for a long time,” an insider told Radar Online. “They’re exhausted from trying to maintain the façade of a happy union.”
The source claimed the actors will announce their separation in “a carefully choreographed manner” at the end of the summer and already “worked out a confidential settlement to protect their $240 million fortune.” Another insider added, “They’re already moving on with their lives. All that’s left is the inking of the divorce papers.”
Radar supplemented the source by revisiting reports Will had an affair with Margot Robbie while filming Focus and Jada cheated with HawthoRNe co-star Marc Anthony in 2011. They also cited Will and Jada’s admittedly nontraditional dynamic as evidence.
However, Gossip Cop calls the new report (as well as those two infidelity rumors) “not true” per “an impeccable Smith family source.”
