MTV continues to tag team its Teen Mom franchise as it shared the first preview trailer and premiere date for the new season of Teen Mom 2 during the Teen Mom OG finale Monday night!
“You’ve seen where the moms have been. Now it’s time to see where they’re headed next. ✨” MTV wrote in their tweet along with the trailer. “Find out what the future holds on a brand new season of Teen Mom 2 beginning Monday, January 14th at 9/8c on @MTV.”

The clip starts with a HUGE blast from the past as it shows Jenelle with her ex Andrew Lewis holding their newborn son Jace. “Andrew has been in contact with me,” we hear a producer tell Jenelle in a newly shot scene.
The potential return of Andrew should not come as a major surprise to diehard Teen Mom 2 fans, as that tea was spilled back when it was first announced that Jenelle had signed on for the new season. “They are going to be revisiting with Jace’s father Andrew [Lewis] this season,” a source for The Ashley’s Reality Roundup revealed at the time. “Not sure if he will actually appear but he has been contacted to be part of Jenelle’s storyline this season.”
Another cast member who will apparently be looking back this season is Kail Lowry as she is shown lamenting the fact that her kids will never know what it’s like to be with her family after we see an old clip of her with her estranged mom. Later she says: “I was wanting to reconnect with my mom.”
Otherwise, the trailer seems to focus on the future — including two new fellers! In the brief clip we get to see Briana’s new boyfriend John Rodriguez as well as Leah’s new old boyfriend Jason Jordan! That’s great to see because it wasn’t 100% that either of them would agree to be on camera this season.

There are also multiple clips of pregnant Chelsea DeBoer, as well as a couple looks at baby Layne!
We also get to see Jenelle and mom Barbara getting along as promised. But, the screen goes black at one point just as Jenelle’s 911 call accusing David of nearly breaking her collar bone begins to play. “Maybe she needs to lose everything,” we hear an emotional Barbara say.
I have to confess — this trailer has me even more pumped than I thought I would be!
