PHOTOS Kim Kardashian appears to be using a body double for new KUWTK episodes
The existence of a Kim Kardashian body double has been known to fans (and detractors) of the family for months. Now, though, it appears that Kim has decided to put her double in front of cameras for the first time: photographers recently caught what looks like the stand-in posing for Kim during filming for new episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Kim shared the photo above on her Instagram page a couple of days ago; it’s a shot of Kim and fashion photographer Mert Alaş, best known for his work in the duo Mert and Marcus. Because the Kardashians’ lives are documented relentlessly–and not just by the Kardashians themselves–we know that, on the same day, Kim and Mert paid a visit to the Epione Cosmetic Laser Center in Beverly Hills. They were photographed leaving the building together:
However, as The Superficial first pointed out, there’s no camera crew following the actual Kim Kardashian as she departs. That’s because the cameras were following Kim’s friend Johnathan Cheban and the Kim Kardashian body double as the pair also left Epione on the same day:
In fact, Bauer-Griffin, who took the photo directly above, referenced a Kim Kardashian body double in the photo’s description. And it’s pretty clear that the woman in the photo is not Cheban’s girlfriend: as the Daily Mail points out, Cheban is dating 29-year-old model Anat Popovsky, who couldn’t pass for a Kim Kardashian body double even if her hair were the right color. Earlier this year, Kris Jenner acknowledged that Kim had a body double try on maternity clothes for her because, in the article’s words, she was “so paranoid” about her pregnancy body.
“She has somebody come over here and put a prosthesis on like a pregnant person,” said Kris, “and she makes them try on all of her clothes because she’s too tired to do it.”
