More photos from Amy Duggar’s wedding: See her second dress, the Duggars and more
While 19 Kids and Counting‘s Amy Duggar and Dillon King are off enjoying their first few days as newlyweds, we’re getting a better look at their country-chic Arkansas wedding.
For the Sunday ceremony, Amy was escorted down the aisle by her dad, Terry Jordan. Entertainment Tonight reports “I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You” played in the background and the area was decorated with signs made by Terry, an artist. Before Amy and Dillon exchanged their vows, the pastor spoke about the “roller coaster” of life, which was said to have struck a chord with many in the crowd.
Amy was supported by six bridesmaids, who wore rose-gold dresses with jeweled collars. Several of Amy’s younger cousins and Josh Duggar’s oldest daughter served as flower girls. The bride wore a va-va-voom (at least by Duggar standards) dress from Essence of Australia.
For the reception, Amy created a separate space for her extended family on the Duggar side to sit. One insider told ET, “With everything that’s gone on, Amy wanted to give them some separation so they’d feel comfortable.” They also provided a number of non-alcoholic drink options and staged a “send-off” before the newlyweds actually left, so the Duggars and older guests could leave before the dancing began.
Later in the evening, Amy changed into a second dress for dancing before riding off on a motorcycle with her groom.
The pair is spending a few days in Kansas City before honeymooning in Cancun. Dillon stole a few moments earlier today to thank everyone who made their celebration special.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding. We had so much fun and we are so excited to now start our life together,” he said on Instagram. “love you baby girl and I can’t wait to get to our honeymoon. We couldn’t have had such a good time without all of your help, you all are truly great friends to Amy and myself and we are so blessed to have each and everyone of you in our life. Thank you for all the help, support, and your friendships.”
