Marrying Millions Bill Hutchinson charged with rape in California

The criminal charges continue to mount for Marrying Millions star Bill Hutchinson. Three days after the 63-year-old real estate mogul was arrested in Texas for the alleged sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl living in his home, multiple charges were filed against Bill in California, including the felony rape of a 16-year-old girl.

Orange County prosecutors charged Bill (real name William) on Friday with felony rape of an unconscious person and five misdemeanor counts of touching an intimate part of another person. A warrant was issued for Bill’s arrest.

The Office of the Orange County District Attorney issued the following statement on Friday:

63-year-old Real Estate Developer Charged with Raping Unconscious Teenager while Vacationing in Laguna Beach

Texas man facing additional sexual battery charges involving second 16-year-old girl he brought to Orange County; Texas authorities have also charged him with felony sexual assault of a minor.

SANTA ANA, Calif. – A 63-year-old Texas real estate developer has been charged with sexually assaulting two 16-year-old girls vacationing with him in Laguna Beach, including raping one of the teenagers while she was unconscious. The Orange County charges were filed a day after authorities in Texas filed a felony sexual assault charge against him involving a 16-year-old girl in his Dallas-area home.

William Hutchinson, 63, of Highland Park, Texas, has been charged with one felony count of rape of an unconscious person and five misdemeanor counts of sexual battery for incidents involving two 16-year-old girls.

He faces a maximum sentence of eight years in state prison and 2 1/2 years in the Orange County Jail.

Hutchinson turned himself in to Highland Park, Texas police on Wednesday, July 7 and was later released on a $30,000 bond. An Orange County arrest warrant has been issued for Hutchinson.

Hutchinson is accused of bringing the two 16-year-old girls on vacation to his Laguna Beach home on two different occasions in April. He is accused of raping one of the girls while she was unconscious and committing four acts of sexual battery against the girl. When the victim declined to return to Laguna Beach again, Hutchinson is accused of returning to his vacation home with the other 16-year-old girl at the end of May and committing sexual battery against her during the trip.

Deputy District Attorney Raquel Cooper of the Sexual Assault Unit is prosecuting this case.

UPDATE – Here is a gallery of images posted by Bill while vacationing in Laguna Beach in April and celebrating his son King’s 12th birthday:

And another Laguna Beach photo from earlier in April:

Bill Hutchinson’s attorney spoke with TMZ after news of the California charges broke:

Hutchinson’s lawyer, Dan Hagood, tells TMZ … Hutchinson knows both accusers in the California case, and one is the same accuser from his sexual assault case in Texas.

His legal team says the accuser in both the Cali and Texas cases is full of it … claiming she’s telling a “fantastical” story about being sexually assaulted while unconscious twice in consecutive months.

Hutchinson’s lawyer is chalking the allegations up to a money grab.

The alleged victim in the Texas case was reportedly 17 at the time of the incident in Texas, which seems to contradict the statement from the Orange County D.A. From our previous post:

According to the affidavit obtained by Fox News, the alleged victim moved in with Bill and his 23-year-old fiancée Brianna Ramirez in March of this year “so she could finish her junior year of school at the local high school as her family moved to another area of the state.” Also residing in the home were Bill’s “13-year-old biological son, a 16-year-old daughter of his ex-wife, and another 17-year-old female who witnesses claimed Hutchinson has legal guardianship of.”

Lifetime has not issued a statement in response to the allegations against Bill. The network has completely scrubbed Marrying Millions from its website in the past week.

Marrying Millions is produced by Sharp Entertainment, who also makes the very popular 90 Day Fiance shows for TLC and discovery+. The production company has a long history of remaining completely silent in regards to cast members being accused of domestic violence and/or sexual assault.

Not only have they remained silent, Sharp has also continued filming cast members who were arrested. For example, they filmed Larissa dos Santos Lima as she was arrested for domestic battery against Colt Johnson on three separate occasions.

Sharp also chose to film Geoffrey Paschel for 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days just months after he was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend in a case that resulted in him being charged with aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault and more. In addition, three of Geoffrey’s wives have accused him of abuse in court documents. Producers left Geoffrey on the show when the season aired, but they did decline to include his segments on the Pillow Talk after show. They also declined to invite him to the Tell All — without any explanation to viewers.

It’s unclear at this time if there will be a Marrying Millions Season 3.
