LOVE AFTER LOCKUP Clint Brady arrest details: crashed a Little Debbie trailer into a storage unit
On the second season of WE tv’s popular Love After Lockup reality series, viewers meet 37-year-old Clint Brady from Hobbs, New Mexico. Clint has had multiple arrests for DWI, including one in May of last year after he drove his pickup truck hauling a Little Debbie snacks cakes trailer across a field and through a security fence before crashing into a number of storage units and eventually coming to rest on top of a boat. Oh, and did I mention that Clint isn’t the convict in the relationship?
That honor belongs to Tracie, a 38-year-old from Midland, Texas who has been in and out of jail numerous times over the past 15 years for charges ranging from felony theft to possession of a prohibited substance in prison. But, more on Tracie in another post — this is all about Clint!
Clint’s arrest history appears to consist of just two DWI arrests, including the incident described above involving the Little Debbie trailer crashing into a storage unit. That happened in May of 2017. Here is more info on that crash from the Hobbs Sun-News:
The Hobbs Police Department stated officers and the Hobbs Fire Department responded to the wreck around 10:16 a.m. Preliminary investigation showed the truck was traveling westbound on Navajo Drive when it left the roadway, drove through a fence and hit the building. The truck driver, identified as Clint Brady, 36, of Hobbs, was treated for minor injuries and arrested on charges of driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs (second offense), possession of narcotic paraphernalia and careless driving. Brady was booked at the Hobbs City Jail pending arraignment on the charges in Hobbs Magistrate Court.
The co-owner of the storage facility shared his account of what happened. “I think he went straight through a curb, instead of going around it, and drove all the way across that field,” Beatty said. “I think he drove through the field, trees and fences for, I think, at least a mile — maybe more than that — before he hit the building. Strange.”
Prior to that incident, Clint was charged with DWI in late July of 2016. Judging from court records, it appears as though Clint had the charges dismissed without prejudice in September of 2016, but they were reactivated less than a month later. Clint was found guilty of DWI and speeding in November of 2016.
Here are Clint’s mug shot photos from the Little Debbie trailer crash arrest:
In addition to DWI, the Little Debbie trailer incident also left Clint facing a drug paraphernalia charge and careless driving. Amazingly, all three charges were dismissed without prejudice in August of 2017.
I could find no explanation for why Clint was using a Little Debbie trailer, or what he was hauling inside it.
If you’re curious bout how Clint and Tracie’s relationship works out, we previously shared a spoiler post that reveals they are headed down a VERY rocky road, to say the least!
Regardless, Clint and Tracie’s story looks to be CRAZY dramatic, and I don’t think you will want to miss it! Love After Lockup airs Friday nights at 9/8c on WE tv. (If you actually have something else to do on a Friday night, first let me says congratulations. Second, be sure to set your DVR so you will be all caught up before everyone gathers around the social media water cooler on Monday to talk about the Premiere!)
I will send you off with a little preview clip in Clint reveals to his boss (and his ex-wife, and the mother of his 16-year-old son) that he wants a couple extra days off so he can marry Tracie, whom he has never met in person:
