90 DAY FIANCE Jorge Nava arrested in Arizona on marijuana possession and distribution charges

90 Day Fiance Jorge Nava arrest

It’s a crazy day for 90 Day Fiance franchise news! First we found out that Before the 90 Days super couple Karine and Paul Staehle probably had a secret wedding in Brazil, and now we have learned that Jorge Nava, half(ish) of 90 Day Fiance‘s #Jorfisa, was arrested on Monday in Arizona!

Jorge has stated on the show that he is an above-the-board marijuana salesman in California with a list of clients that apparently included the late comedienne Stevie Ryan. California recently legalized recreational marijuana statewide, so I assumed that things were looking up for Jorge — and thus Anfisa. (It’s basic Trickle Sideways Economics, which all students learn about in their first year at any respectable Russian Gold Digging Academy.) But, red makeup bags and botox are apparently a bit too much to afford with legal marijuana sales as Jorge was booked on marijuana possession and distribution charges across the border in Arizona, which has some of the strictest pot laws in the country.

According to online records, Jorge was booked in Mohave County on Monday with the following counts:

MARIJUANA-POSSESS/USE
STATUTE: 13-3405A1
BOND: $25000

MARIJUANA-POSSESS FOR SALE
STATUTE: 13-3405A2
BOND: $25000

MARIJ-TRANSPORT AND/OR SELL
STATUTE: 13-3405A4
BOND: $25000

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA VIOLATION
STATUTE: 13-3415
BOND: $25000

We did some additional digging and it appears as thought Jorge was actually charged last week on February 8, but was arrested on February 12. Those records also indicate that the only complaint that has been officially filed with the courts (so far) is the charge of transporting and selling pot. Here is that Arizona statute:

A person shall not knowingly: Transport for sale, import into this state or offer to transport for sale or import into this state, sell, transfer or offer to sell or transfer marijuana.

Arizona is sandwiched between the pot-friendly states of Colorado and California, but like I mentioned above, it has some of the strictest marijuana laws in the country. Basically, any marijuana possession without a medical prescription is a felony — and of course that is even worse when you’re talking about distribution. If there was less than two pounds involved, then it is a Class 3 felony. If it was more than two pounds, then Jorge is facing a Class 2 felony. According to Mayes Tells Attorneys, a Class 3 felony carries a minimum sentence of 2.5 years in prison, while a Class 2 felony carries a minimum of 4 years in prison!

UPDATE – Jorge was reportedly caught with WAAAAAAAAAAAY more than two pounds! Like hundreds of pounds more than two pounds! Click the link for more details.

I don’t know the specifics of the case, but it doesn’t sound good for Jorge — especially considering that he has been arrested on drug-related charges before. I hope he’s able to talk Anfisa into allowing him to use some of her “red makeup bag” fund to pay for a decent attorney. Of course, Anfisa has her own priorities and Jorge may wind up with this guy:

It does appear as though Anfisa was at least generous enough to post Jorge’s bond because he is no longer listed as being in custody.

Speaking of Jorge and Anfisa, she uploaded a photo with Jorge the day after his arrest with all sorts of wealthy emoji stuck all over it:

90 Day FIance Jorge and Anfisa are still together in February 2018

Perhaps Jorge and Anfisa can expand on their reality show empire with a crossover appearance on WE tv’s Love After Lockup? It’s the same producers as 90 Day Fiance, so they already have an in. 😉

So far there has been no reaction from Anfisa on social media, but I would bet a credit card emoji and a gold crown emoji that we will get something vague but sly soon.
