Jeremih and PartyNextDoor feud recap: pepper spray, body double, rants, and more!
Over the last few days the Summer’s Over Tour has become perhaps the most entertaining show in the country thanks to opening act Jeremih’s antics and comments inspired by his extreme dislike of tour headliner PartyNextDoor.
In case you missed it, things started to go a little crazy on Thursday night, when Jeremih reportedly had a body double take his place for the show in Houston. During the next show, in Dallas, Jeremih railed against PartyNextDoor and his crew in a rant that was captured on video by audience members and posted to social media. In addition, Jeremih is claiming that “they maced me through the fog machine” during the Dallas show in order to mess up his singing.
Jeremih’s shenanigans eventually caught up with him, however: despite assuring fans he would be on stage for Sunday night’s show in San Antonio, Jeremih was officially removed from the tour lineup.
Here’s a timeline recap of the Jeremeltdown over the last few days, complete with videos and the full statement from Live Nation announcing Jeremih’s departure:
DECEMBER 1
Jeremih allegedly sent a body double on stage to perform in his place during the Houston stop of the Summer’s Over Tour. Check out this video of the Jeremime, who reportedly never removed his hoodie or sunglasses as he lip-synced through the performance:
DECEMBER 2
Jeremih referenced the switcharoo by posting this image on Instagram:
Then, during his performance in Dallas on Friday night, Jeremih went on a rant in which he called PartyNextDoor and his crew “b!tch a** n!ggas.” Here’s the most-shared video clip of Jeremih’s rant, followed by a transcript:

I wouldn’t be here without y’all. [???] All my fans, I love y’all! PartyNextDoor and his crew are some b!tch a** n!ggas! Now tell me dat. Tell me what I’ve said now! Now scream for PartyNextDoor now! Y’all better cheer for him now! Tell him to play the f***ing fake ass buttons they been pressing every night. Tell him to stop taking the crowd out the motherf***ing songs that he got y’all singing thinking y’all singing his songs. He ain’t even singing y’all’s songs. That sh!t weak as hell. They shouldn’t have gave me this mic.
Jeremih did some more chest thumping before calling out PartyNextDoor again. “This n!gga been trying to stop me since this tour started. He can’t stop me! Can’t stop us n!gga! Let’s get this sh!t rockin’ boys!”
Here’s another fan video, posted to Instagram, in which you can hear more of the beginning of Jeremih’s diatribe, including the mention of pepper spray:
“…put pepper spray on the motherf***ing stage, I can’t even sing to y’all,” Jeremih says at the start. “They hatin’ on me from day one. I been here for seven years. I wouldn’t be here without y’all.” The rest is included in the clip above.

So what’s this about pepper spray, you ask? Jeremih took to social media to explain further:
Pepper spray was put in the atmosphere last night on stage while I was performing in Dallas. Surprisingly no blogs picked that up.

Jeremih’s “maced through the fog machine” allegations were met with numerous shaking of the damn heads (mine included), but reading through the comments section of The Shade Room’s post I found a lot of folks claiming to have been attendance at the Dallas concert who verify that there was some sort of incident — including the person who posted the Instagram video from the show that I included above!
“I was there we were choking in there and some ppl left afterwards,” wrote @killa_badazz.
Blogger Bobby Pen was also at the show, and according to her, EMS was on the scene:
Yoooo!!! ? They just pepper sprayed the stage on #Jeremih’s set at the #Dallas leg of the #SummersOverTour. He said #PartyNextDoor and his crew are bitches and said fuck the rest of the tour. Damn son. He’s still performing right now tho. EMS is on the scene. Thoughts? ?
That was followed by these interactions in the comments section:
COMMENTER: apparently this ain’t his first rodeo…Damn.. Chicago had a similar experience Lmao.. not sure how many cities they hit but ?I’m sure he knew that before signing
BOBBY PEN: why they hating on my boo? SMH I was wondering why my throat started itching then I saw people running away from the stage
COMMENTER: How does pepper spray get past security? ?
BOBBY PEN: when it comes in with the crew? I’m speculating. At the end of the show PND said to the crowd that he’s hot nothing but love for his “brother” Jeremih so… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Guess we gotta see how this plays out tonight in San Antonio
Jeremih agreed:
San Antonio we headed your way, still…

Fans did not get to “see how this plays out tonight in San Antonio,” as Live Nation issued a statement announcing Jeremih had been removed from the Summer’s Over Tour. The company did not sound pleased:
Live Nation’s top priority is helping artists and performers create great shows for their fans. With this in mind, we’ve decided it’s best for the Summer’s Over Tour to continue without Jeremih, effective immediately. After multiple incidents we are left with no other choice. We do not support these actions or take these actions lightly. Ticketholders may request a full refund at point of purchase, which will forfeit access to the entire show. No partial refunds will be issued.
Surprisingly, Jeremih has not mentioned being booted from the tour at all on social media. Perhaps it’s because he is looking into legal action and his lawyers have told him to zip it for now? Bobby Pen said it best:
“¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Guess we gotta see how this plays out…”
UPDATE – Fameolous has since posted “leaked audio” explaining exactly what happened — including confirmation that Jeremih used a “stunt double” in Houston:
I should point out that Fameolous never indicates who the guy is talking in the clip. Perhaps it is a Jeremih insider stunt double?
