Jenelle Evans’ ex Nathan Griffith is back behind bars after being arrested earlier today for domestic violence and burglary.

According to online arrest records, Nathan was arrested by Myrtle Beach Police around noon on North Oak Street. Although details of what Nathan allegedly did have not been released, he is facing two felony charges — one for burglary, and the other for “domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.”

Here is further clarification of what the “domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature” charge means from

South Carolina law punishes more severely certain acts of domestic violence. “Domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature” occurs when the defendant commits:

• an assault or battery against a household member with a deadly weapon or that causes serious injury, or

• an assault (a threat or attempt at injury) with or without the accompanying battery (actual touching that causes injury or harm) that reasonably causes imminent fear of serious injury or death.

Nathan’s social media presence has recently been sharing a lot of Biblical quotes, including this concerning Facebook post yesterday:

If there was anytime that you were there and I didn’t hear your voice because I was stubborn, I’m sorry but now I’m on my knees asking you to be strong when I can’t, to help me survive just one more day, and to let me hear your voice of justice. There is a lot of evil out there God and I need you to deliver me from it now. Help me fight the ‘good’ battle!

Nathan’s arrest today comes just a couple months after he was arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct in June. It also comes not long after he and Jenelle reached an amicable custody agreement in regards to their son Kaiser. It is unknown how Nathan’s arrest will affect that custody agreement, but I assume it cannot be a good thing for Nathan.

We will update when we know more about the allegations against Nathan and/or when his newest mug shot is released.

UPDATE – We have details from the initial police incident report which alleges that Nathan snuck into Jessica Henry’s house while she was asleep, jumped on top of her, and then began yelling and choking her! Click here for the full report.
