Deavan Clegg ‘in tears’ after researching Jenelle & David Eason’s past

Deavan Clegg Jenelle Evans regret

Yet another former business partner of Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Eason is publicly apologizing to her fans after learning more about what Jenelle and her husband, David Eason, have said and done over the years.

90 Day Fiance: The Other Way star Deavan Clegg was partnered with Jenelle and 17 other female influencers for the brand new Girl S#!t podcast and multi-platform project. Both reality stars were heavily promoting Girl S#!t after it was officially announced earlier this week.

In an interview with In Touch about the launch, Deavan disclosed that her friendship with Jenelle pre-dated the two of them becoming fellow Girl S#!tters:

[Deavan] exclusively reveals she and Jenelle became friends by bonding over their shared experiences of being on reality TV in the past.

“Jenelle actually reached out to me roughly two years ago when I first was on 90 Day Fiancé, just to kind of be a friend. She knows how tough the reality world can be and just kind of prepared me for it in the sense and what to expect when it comes to reality TV,” Deavan tells In Touch. “We kept in touch here and there throughout the years and she messaged me about the project and I was like, ‘It sounds like so much fun. I think it’s a wonderful idea.’”

Despite their two-year friendship and business partnership, Deavan apparently never really looked into Jenelle’s past at all. After the Girl S#!t announcement, she was inundated with backlash online, which motivated her to look more into the Easons. As John Yates first reported, Deavan’s research resulted in her going to show producers and letting them know she did not want to work with Jenelle.

Other Girl S#!t members reportedly did the same, and Jenelle was fired from the project just hours before its scheduled launch party on Wednesday night.

Jenelle and her husband David are currently heading back to The Land in North Carolina, and Jenelle updated her fans on her alleged firing and Deavan’s involvement with a video recorded during the trip. Here’s the video, re-posted by John Yates, followed by a transcript of what Jenelle says:

Good morning everybody, I hope you’re doing great. So there’s a lot of rumors that I woke up to saying that Deavan got me fired from this thing when I’m her producer and I actually hand chose Deavan to join the cast. So, with that being said, I am not fired. And we don’t know what’s going to be happening with the podcast right now. But I do know as soon as I get home I have all the equipment to set up mine. So we’ll get something going because I know you guys want to hear from me. And thanks for your support, and I love you guys. You’ll hear from me soon.

Deavan hasn’t addressed Jenelle’s connection to Girl S#!t on her own Instagram account, but she did take time to comment on John’s post:

Dude I dont even know what the heck is going on. 😐

I want it to be made clear I do not support that kind of behavior and when I read and did my research I was in tears. I do not support any type of child abuse allegations or not I will not and can not support that. I want to apologize for being an idiot and not doing my research. But I can assure you I will not work with her. I saw the videos and I’m truly sadden and disgusted and do not support what they have done in the past. And I honest to God don’t know anything about teen mom girls drama I don’t keep up. And I am sadden and dishearten by it. But it is being handled

Another commenter claimed that Jenelle “let her child, minimum one child, get abused by her husband physically.” Deavan responded to that comment by writing: “I understand and I read the CPS report and I was in tears. I don’t support it.”

While Deavan appears to be distancing herself as much as possible from Jenelle, another Girl S#!tter looks to be trying to play both sides of the fence.

TikToker Gabbie Egan shared a video after the Girl S#!t implosion that included positive comments about Jenelle and David. “I get that she’s controversial and she has a bad past. I get that,” Gabbie said. “I did not do all my research on her before. However, she was very nice to me and David was very nice to me. I really do feel bad about this situation. I feel horrible about all this s#!t.”

Gabbie also spoke with The Sun and contradicted Jenelle’s non-firing claims by saying she was indeed “let go:”

I was told Jenelle was being let go from the production because of new information that was discovered about her past and a lot of the cast was uncomfortable working with her.

Since posting with Jenelle, a lot of us have lost followers, received a lot of hate for even being associated with her. From what I know, Jenelle is no longer associated with Girl S#!t.

Gabbie (seen above with Jenelle and someone named McCall Deason) also told The Sun that the Girl S#!tters did not work for Jenelle, but for another producer.

It doesn’t appear that any of the other Girl S#!tters have responded to Jenelle’s firing publicly. The Girl S#!t Instagram account deleted all of its posts, but they did change their bio to read: “Guess y’all want the 411 huh?… As if! Brb, dealing with some girl shit 🥴” There is no word on the first episode of the podcast that was supposed to be released on Thursday.

I am guessing the project will soon be abandoned, if it hasn’t been already. Girl S#!t will then live on as the answer to a very difficult Teen Mom Trivia Night question, joining other oft-forgotten Jenelle business ventures like The Little Kaiser potty training urinal and her JEmoji app.
