Teen Mom Tar Heel firecracker Jenelle Evans is out in Cali right now getting her rehab on to try and gain control over the world of issues that is her young life. I think it’s a great move for Jenelle and shows that she has the desire to try and do something about her circumstances and to improve herself for her son Jace.
Meanwhile back in Oak Island, North Carolina legal issues continue in regards to the now infamous brawl between Evans and Britany Truett. The viral video was a mega-story that extended beyond the realm of just the Teen Mom universe. Every major news agency reported it while adding their two cents worth on the influence of the shows in regards to teen pregnancy. As we’ve come to learn from the TM franchise the legal system runs slow but Evans will finally have her day in court in regards to the fight.
With her rehab being on the other coast Jenelle was unable to make her scheduled court date on Tuesday so the judge from Brunswick County has set her date for July 22. The charges against Jenelle are for simple assault and simple affray. Evans’ attorney, Dustin Sullivan, told E that his client is “doing very well” and that she left North Carolina because the treatment she sought was not readily available there.
