Kim Kardashian used her highly-influential social media platform to call for stricter gun control laws following the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.

The reality star sent out a number of tweets to her nearly 46 million followers explaining why she feels the way she does about the controversial topic:

The shooter was previously on a terrorist watch list and had been looked into closely on previous occasions by the FBI. He purchased the guns used in the massacre, an assault-style rifle and a hand gun, legally from the St. Lucie Shooting Center.

The owner of the store, Ed Henson, had a number of Facebook posts on his page decrying Obama and black lives matters protesters. In November he captioned an image of President Obama: “He should be handcuffed, removed from Office and charged with Treason and then publicly executed! How can the American People and military stand by and do nothing while this piece of sh** puts everyone of us in danger.”

Kardashian previously expressed her concern about gun laws in America after reports about David Conley, who allegedly slaughtered his ex, her boyfriend and her 6 children with a gun he ordered online, surfaced.

“These gun safety laws have to change! This poor woman was tied up & saw every child of hers & husband get executed over 10 hours… My thoughts & prayers go out to Valerie Jackson’s family and friends! #GunLawsHAVEtoChange #GunSafety #BackgroundChecksNecessary,” she wrote at the time.
