Forget yachting excursions in Ibiza or paddle boarding in the Hamptons: actress and mega-mellow mom Kate Hudson keeps it real with some relaxing pontoon boat lake fun, complete with off-brand cheese puffs, a fishing pole, white wine with a twist-off cap, and the sounds of Bob Marley.
The 36-year-old mother of two shared the photo above featuring the aforementioned components yesterday, and captioned it with, “Pontoon Sunday ??? #FootballLiveFeed #HappySunday” The photo elicited a lot of comments from people relating to Kate’s Sunday vacay tastes. Here’s one of my favorites: “If this pic doesn’t depict me (minus the bod) then I’m not sure what else does hahah.”
Just after the photo, Kate posted her potential winning video entry in the 2015 “My Mom Is Cooler Than Your Mom” contest. The clip features herself and son Ryder jumping into the water from the boat — all set to Bob Marley’s “One Drop”:
For some reason, that reminded me of the Dave Chappelle skit in which he portrays Prince playing Charlie Murphy in basketball. After the winning dunk, Prince declares, “Game, blouses,” before letting go of the rim and slowly floating down.
