Chelsea Houska’s ex Adam Lind’s criminal record and arrest timeline

Teen Mom 2 Chelsea Houska's ex Adam Lind

Teen Mom 2‘s Adam Lind is notorious for having a horrible driving record that includes being convicted of three DUIs, pleading guilty to separate charges of exhibition driving and careless driving, numerous speeding tickets (including one for going 105mph), seatbelt violations, driving without a license, driving without insurance, and other traffic citations.

A source close to Chelsea Houska reveals to us that Adam Lind’s continued disdain for traffic laws and safety has her extremely concerned. She worries that Adam continues to drive with their daughter Aubree in the car and that he still visits bars and other establishments that serve alcohol, which is prohibited based on the conditions from the sentencing after his third DUI conviction in March.

Here are the details about his third DUI conviction including all of the conditions:

Chelsea Houska's ex Adam Lind's 3rd DUI arrest

Adam claims to have a work permit which would allow him to drive to and from work. The claim would seem to be discredited by the notation under “License” in the court record above that reads, “Work Permit: N.” However, each of his previous DUI arrests had the same notation and it is believed he had work permits then. Also, one of the conditions reads, “MUST MAINTAIN FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT,” which would seem to suggests that he does have a work permit. (According to the South Dakota statute, a third DUI conviction does allow for “Limited driving privilege for certain purposes.” The statute later adds, “Upon the successful completion of a court-approved chemical dependency counseling program, and proof of financial responsibility pursuant to § 32-35-113, the court may permit the person to operate a vehicle for the purposes of employment, 24/7 sobriety testing, attendance at school, or attendance at counseling programs.”)

That being said, there would still be no reason for him to have Aubree (or his other newborn daughter Paislee) in the car with him, right?

There is also a report from The Ashley’s Reality Roundup that Adam, 22, has recently purchased not one, but TWO Corvettes. Adding insult to the potential injury to others, “He doesn’t plan on getting insurance for his new cars,” the source tells The Ashley. “He thinks it’s funny.”

No one else thinks Adam’s complete disdain for traffic laws and safety is funny, and to be honest, I don’t understand how he is able to continue driving given his driving record (included below). Is there really nothing that can be done outside of fines and fees for someone convicted of three DUIs and tons of other driving violations? Can’t police just start impounding any vehicle he is caught driving illegally? (If it belongs to someone else, let them go to court to either prove they didn’t know Adam’s license was suspended or that they didn’t know he had their vehicle — at which point Adam could be charged with grand theft auto.)

If you’re still feeling sympathetic towards Adam, I’m including a complete timeline of his arrests over the last few years — and remember, these are only the ones that occurred after he was 18 and only the charges he was found guilty of! (It is apparent that he struck plea deals on some charges which resulted in other charges at the time being dropped.)

And in case you wondering, according to court documents, since May of 2007 Adam Lind has accumulated more than $8,500 in court fines and fees stemming from his legal issues.

Before I start, I feel I should explain that “Maintenance of financial responsibility” means having proof of insurance.

OMG! Not only would I not let my kid ride in his car, but I would probably request supervised visitation! No child should be in the care of someone so reckless. I understand why Chelsea’s Dad hates this guy so much!

  • DeeDeDee

But he’s such a good dad! -_- Seriously though, I’ve seen that argument. Time and time again I’ve seen Chelsea called a bad parent for not bending over backwards to accommodate him and his new family. It’s sad that all it takes is her withholding visits because she didn’t want him riding with Aubree for HER ro be a bad parent, but being as irresponsible as Adam has makes him “misunderstood.”

  • Kate

    Holy crap. What a loser.

  • Lula

If I was the mother, our daughter wouldn’t be allowed in his car. If he’s going to drive recklessly and risk wrapping himself around a tree, I would rather it not involve an innocent child. Chelsea will forever allow him to treat her like a doormat, so I’m guessing Aubree is on her own.

  • Caity

Why does she let Aubree in the car with him?!?!??! Remember the scene where she allowed Adam to take her and Aubree for a drive? What a careless, doormat mother.

    • Lisa Tate

Because Adam is Chelsea’s weakness. He can pretty much do whatever he wants to with her.

    • burkey

the last footage we’ve all seen happened awhile ago so how does anyone know that Chelsea is still letting him drive with Aubree.. i’d bet that she’s probably not anymore

    • Guest….

I’m pretty positive that she doesn’t let her ride in the car. When he was out on work release, he posted a status about what a sh*tty mother Chelsea was because she wouldn’t let his girlfriend come pick Aubree up to see him, and refused to to bring her to see him.

      • Kara

        Where did he post that?

  • A

…and how did he afford two Corvettes? MTV… Thanks for funding these losers and their bad habits.

    • burkey

there is NO way MTV paid him enough money to afford 2 corvettes.. this kids been obsessed with cars and motorcycles from the start and always seems to have alot of them.. more like his dumbass parents have been funding his bad habits

  • anjealka

Wow has he aged (not well) since the 16 & P picture. I hope he doesn’t drive Aubree but since she is with Chelsea almost 100% of the time I worry more for his new baby and girlfriend driving with him.

    • Emily

Exactly what I was going to say, I remember Starcasm posted some quote from Adam about Aubree (I think it was in the post that announced his gf having their baby) and it just sounded so much like he probably rarely sees the kid. Something generic like “she’s a good kid” and how Chelsea’s a great mom, it just struck as someone who doesn’t spend very much time with his daughter.
I’m most concerned about the new baby. Taylor not so much (not that I wish anything bad on her) she’s an adult who willingly got into a relationship with him (and then got pregnant by him) after all his criminal stuff happened, or during. She knows exactly who he is/his driving history and if she chooses to get in the car with him, that’s her choice. The baby has no choice. Although the fact that she thinks Adam will make a good dad says a lot about her decision making skills.

Damn! That’s one hell of a rap sheet.

  • A worse teen mom – more DUIs

Jenelle has her son Jace ride in the car with her boyfriend Nathan. Nathan has had 3 DUIs in SC and at least 1 in NC, he has no license and drives every day. He pled guilty in 12/2012 to driving without a license and was arrested again last week for it but again this weekend, Jace was riding in the car with Nathan at the wheel. Someone needs to contact that state because she should NEVER be allowed to be alone / unsupervised with that little boy. It’s obvious that Barb doesn’t care enough to stop jenelle.

    • Okay?

      This isn’t about Nathan…

  • Demona

He looks old now compared to his 16 & P episode because he’s living a hard life. He should be in rehab to be so young and keep driving under the influence seems like a huge warning bell. Bonus: he can sell his sober coins to Farrah to get insurance on his cars.

  • Sara

What the hell?! How can you have so many charges in so little time?! DAMN…So irresponsible!

  • Kara

Chelsea shouldn’t allow Aubree in his car! Hopefully she’s realized that she’s better off without him. I don’t get why Taylor would want a child with him.

  • Needy P.D.

Wouldn’t you be smart enough if you have license restrictions to not speed?! DUH!!!

  • Brandy Barnett

Chelsea can let Adam see Aubree without letting him drive her. She just needs to insist that either she drop Aubree off with him or that he bring somebody with him to drive. If he doesn’t, she can call the cops because he’s breaking the law by driving on probation. When he gets the alcohol treatment and sticks with it, maybe they can make another arrangement, but she is not doing Adam any favors by ignoring this and she’s jeopardizing Aubree’s life as well as potentially someone elses. My problem with these DUIs is that people blow them off as insignificant, but they are times that you could have killed someone and are extremely lucky that you got caught instead. If he has money for cars, he has money to pay for a ride home. I also hope that if he owes fines that he’s clearly not paying, that the state can put leins on or seize those cars.

  • Feisty

If he lived in CALIFORNIA his ass would be locked up and he wouldn’t have a license at all!! Court in Cali probably wouldn’t allow him to see his daughter unsupervised. Adam move to Cali !!!

  • Megan

Why on earth was Chelsea so crazy for Adam. He is a loser. She should be very glad and thankful that shes not with him. Poor Aubree..

  • actually know him

you guys are dumb as shit, he only has one corvette lol…he lives in my town.

    • pcofwork

Yeah, b/c he crashed the other one. who cares about that? His record speaks for itself, that’s all anyone cares about, that and the safety of his kids. The guy is an ugly loser.

  • bert

Oh I hope they sue Adams ass they will win all his assets if he loved in pa he wouldn’t have a dl for about 6 yrs with that record

  • bert

Ambulance chasers get after these women he hit n nail his ass to the wall, Adam Lind has several bikes n trucks n cars to auction off, hit him with a nice civil suit hard, it’s the only way he’ll stop his BS before u are burying the next people he slams into or one of his kids

  • BJJ_god

Can someone please explain to me why this reject isn’t behind bars? How far does it have to go before he finally does some real time? When he kills someone? When he kills his own daughter? This is pathetic.
