Before Karlie Redd hit ratings gold with VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta she was keeping it reality real on another VH1 show called Scream Queens. Miss Redd was cast for the second season of the show featuring buxom young ladies competing to land a “role” in Saw 3D. While Karlie only made it to the end of the 3rd episode she left in her wake some seriously righteous reality moments I want to share with you.
During her entire run KR was determined to win but her determination ended up being her downfall as she “got the axe” because she tried too dang hard. But before that happened she managed to play a witch, eat raw steak meat and have herself covered in a bucket full of maggots. So who wants to see our girl gnaw down some uncooked steak and get a maggoty shower? Of course you do!

First up is an introduction to Karlie Redd on Season 2 of Scream Queens. She talks about trying to get a job in L.A. as her first challenge requires her to act terrified as Freddy Krueger tries to grab her while in bed:
Karlie is in another challenge and she takes it next level as she decides without direction to munch on some raw steak! She’s telling her fellow competitors about wanting to do something out of the ordinary. She gets verified when a fellow cast member says, “She’s full on cuckoo right now.”
She should’ve already won after that but the contest went on. In the next bit of SQ glory she’s directed to laugh and then prompted to immediately start crying and she’s unable to do so.
Now we get to that one where we have Karlie from L&HH Atlanta having a ton of real, live, squirming maggots dumped on her head. In the scene she doesn’t impress the director and her shortcomings really hurt her emotionally. Oh yeah, and there’s all the maggots too!
Finally we have Karlie’s elimination at the conclusion of episode 3 as she’s told that she tries too hard. She is devastated when she gets the “axe” and believes that she brought it more than any of the girls. She stated that she wasn’t giving up on her TV dream. Pretty prophetic Redd!
