LHHATL Season 8 rumored premiere date and returning cast

When does LHHATL come back

Love & Hip Hip New York and Miami are starting to wind down their current seasons, and winter is almost gone. So when does LHHATL come back for Season 8? Word on the street is that we can expect the show to return earlier than usual this year, and that the cast will see a big mix of new faces and returns from seasons long gone.

It was actually Momma Dee who first spilled the tea on LHHATL Season 8. Last autumn, she tweeted out thanks to her longtime followers, and revealed that they’d be able to see her again with LHHATL’s return in March of 2019:

A source close to production has since told us that Love & Hip Hop Atlanta‘s new season will likely premiere on Monday, March 25th. If the date turns out to hold, it would be the latest that LHHATL came on since Season 5. Both Seasons 6 and 7 premiered earlier in March (and it’s worth noting that LHHMiami has forced VH1 to alter its Love & Hip Hop rotation).

We’ll keep you updated if the rumored premiere date changes. But what about the LHHATL new cast? All the show’s OG cast members — Mimi Faust, Karlie Redd, Stevie J, Jessica Dime, and Rasheeda — remain under contract. And We already know that the biggest addition from Season 7 will be back: Erica Mena, already engaged to LHHNY and LHHH star Safaree, is allegedly maybe pregnant with his baby. (Safaree is rumored to be making at least one appearance on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta for Season 8, though those rumors have yet to be confirmed.)

Additionally, a couple of old faces not seen in the main cast for some time are scheduled to return. Season 5 star Scrapp DeLeon, in prison on drug trafficking charges since 2016, has since been moved to a halfway house, and has been spotted filming scenes. And OG cast member Erica Dixon, who popped up a handful of times last year, is said to be back full-time.

One cast member the show might be saying goodbye to is Tommie. Though she’s been spotted out and about with Scrapp, and may be back together with him, she allegedly either quit the show or was fired outright last autumn. Her trial on child abuse and stalking charges — for which Tommie is facing up to 50 years in prison — is scheduled to begin this spring.

In the meantime, you can catch up on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 7 over at the show’s official site, where every episode is available to stream.
