Human Ken Justin Jedlica refuses to play nice with Human Barbie Valeria Lukyanova.
Speaking with Us Weekly, Justin recalled his meeting with Valeria during a January 2013 episode of Inside Edition.
“I tired to give her a hug and sort of crack up with her and get her to laugh and joke… And she wasn’t really having it,” he said, explaining there was a bit of a language and cultural barrier.
Here’s video from that first meeting…
Justin said he thinks Valeria was cold because her husband/manager was present.
“I did get her to laugh and smile a couple times. And he screamed! He was screaming at the producers, ‘You can’t use that! You can’t use that,’ Justin said. “After a while, I realized they were trying to have her impersonate a mannequin. If she gives off too much emotion or personality, people aren’t going to associate her with a plastic object. With a dead mannequin.”
Justin, who has spent more than $100,000 for his chiseled body, said transforming their bodies is the only thing he and Valeria have in common.
“You don’t speak, you don’t laugh, there’s no personality,” he said. “So, why are we giving you the time of day? As an out gay male, as a stepfather of two kids, you kind of start to think: What are you using your celebrity for?”
This isn’t the first time Justin’s dissed his fellow doll. Speaking to GQ around the same time as Valeria’s arguably racist interview, Justin said he doesn’t “get her.”
“I don’t get why people think she’s so interesting,” he said. “She has extensions. She wears stage makeup. She’s an illusionist.”
