Lindsay Lohan goes to court Wednesday for being charged with allegedly stealing a necklace, but Paris Hilton has also been getting quite a bit of press over this issue.
Paris’s promo for new show on the Oxygen Network The World According to Paris featured a joking jab at her one-time party-buddy Linds.
In the clip Paris visits a women’s shelter, and gives a woman her earrings after the ladied admired them. She excitedly says that she’s going to give them to her sister in Oklahoma and say they are a special present from “Lindsay.” Paris says, “I’m not her!” The lady then jokes “Aren’t you supposed to be in rehab?”
Paris follows up in interview with a voiceover “If I were Lindsay, I’d be stealing earrings, not giving them away.”

Paris has since apologized to Lindsay, telling TMZ: “I apologize to Lindsay for the comment that I made. I was joking around but it was thoughtless and unnecessary.”
Lindsay, who has a history of complaining when other celebrities make fun of her on television, called the joke “mean.” In March she also complained about Miley Cyrus making fun of the necklace case on SNL, and last fall she and her mother were upset when Gwyneth Paltrow made cracks about her in character as a zany Spanish substitute on Glee.
