Minnesota linebacker E.J. Henderson had to be carted off the field Sunday night after he broke his femur in a brutal collision with teammate Jamarca Sanford while attempting to tackle Arizona Cardinal running back Tim Hightower.

The injury will require surgery according to Vikings head coach Brad Childress and Henderson is more than likely done for the season.

Henderson is a 7-year veteran out of Maryland who has played his entire professional career in Minnesota. His brother Erin Henderson is also a member of the Vikings and though he was not active for Sunday night’s game, he was there with E.J. as they carted him off the field.
