On Monday night’s episode of Teen Mom OG, it’s revealed that Tyler Baltierra’s sister Amber Baltierra is following in their dad’s footsteps by heading to rehab in Austin, Texas. Tyler, Catelynn, and Tyler’s mom express their concerns hoping that Amber will take the rehab stint seriously, before they work out some of the logistics of taking care of Amber’s two children while she is away.
So what is the verdict? Did Amber take her rehab stay seriously? Is she still in rehab?
Amber left for treatment back in May, and at the time she stated that she would be gone for 90 days. However, it has been more than five months and Amber is still in Austin!
On September 12, Amber posted a photo of her 4 months sober chip on Instagram and captioned it by writing: “So proud of myself ???”
Just prior to receiving her 4-month chip, Amber reflected on her time in rehab, the positive effect it has had on her life, and her appreciation for those that made it possible. The post accompanied a photo from a post she made a year ago that read: “The worst person to battle in life is yourself. #HateFeelingLikeThis” Here is Amber’s post:

In a separate post in early September, Amber mentioned that she would be making an amends trip home — and on September 14 she posted a photo with Butch captioned “Home bound ?” Soon after that photo, Amber shared a video of herself riding with her children and wrote: “My whole life in one video ????”
At the time of her 4-month chip, a follower commented that Amber only had two months left, so I think it is safe to say that she is going for six months. She has been posting from Austin, Texas once again — including two photos from the Texas capital on Saturday.
If you are curious about Butch, he looks to have completed his six-month rehab stint and has chosen to remain in the Austin area where he now has a new job and a new girlfriend!
In summary, it looks as though November could be a time when Tyler Baltierra has no family members in a rehabilitation facility! (Knock on wood.)
In all seriousness, congratulations to Amber, Butch, and Catelynn for getting help. Hopefully all of them now have the tools they need to keep their lives on track so that they can be the parents their children deserve and the selves that they deserve!
