SKIN TIGHT Tim Bauer is living his very best life, about to be married for the second time

The Skin Tight Tim Bauer episode featured a man so overcome with happiness and gratitude for the skin removal surgery he was about to undergo that he broke down in tears. Now, over two years later, Tim’s life has only gotten better — as evidenced by the fact that he’s just a few months away from marrying the second love of his life!

Although Tim’s weight loss journey was a smashing success, and he was able to develop a more positive body image, it seems his relationship with his first wife was never going to work out. Tim explained why his first marriage had to end in divorce in a heartfelt blog post entitled “What I Learned After Losing 225 Pounds And My Wife at Letsmend.com. You can read the entire post here; the following is a condensed excerpt:

For years, my marriage had been loveless….My wife was completely unaffectionate and ignored all romantic and physical advances. I thought there was something wrong with me. But I was resolute. I had two beautiful daughters with her. I had lost 225 pounds for myself, but in the back of my mind, I thought it would also save my marriage. We had been through so much and come so far that I couldn’t just give up on us….At some point, I think we both realized that we didn’t love each other and that didn’t mean there was something wrong with me or something wrong with her. We just weren’t meant to be together. The truth is that we didn’t fight very often. Most of our friends were shocked to hear we were getting divorced.

Though Tim doesn’t say exactly when he and his wife split, it’s clear that the pain of his separation and eventual divorce is still a burden. In happier news, though, Tim goes on to say that he and his wife manage co-parenting their two daughters very well. The girls appear often in Tim’s social media updates:

The single best thing I ever did to teach my daughters to love and respect themselves was to love and respect myself. Being a father means having a constant audience to witness your failures and successes. Being perfect isn't the standard; what truly matters is the example of how you respond to failure, challenge and success. You were born to rise! Do you teach your kids and the people around you that the fight isn't over as long as you get up? Is your life a story that demonstrates your values and passions? Whether or not you care to admit it, you are the one holding the pen in your self live story. Maybe your parents picked the stage it is set on and some of the supporting cast, but you are the writer, the director and the actor. So, who’s Tim’s fiancée? Her name is Grace Gully, and she’s an “empowerment and happiness coach” best-known for founding CYL (or Craft Your Life). Tim recently shared a sweet photo of he and Grace:

According to the bio on Grace’s website, she lives in Los Angeles with her “husband, stepdaughters[,] and fur baby.” Grace and Tim must be especially comfortable around and well-suited to each other, though, since it looks like Grace is dropping the h-word a little prematurely. The couple’s wedding registry on Honeyfund suggests a wedding date of May 12, 2018 — to be followed by an Icelandic honeymoon:
