PHOTOS – Lady Gaga visited the slums of Rio de Janeiro, got a Rio neck tattoo

Lady Gaga plays with children in Rio's slums

Lady Gaga she spent some quality time with children in the slums, known as favelas, of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in the middle of her Born This Way Tour.

She dressed in a pink wig, and a pretty simple dress to sign autographs, play kick ball, and just hung out with the kids. (CLICK HERE for more photos.)

Gaga tweeted after her casual fun day in Rio:

“Today was the best day I’ve ever had, had so much fun. I’ll never forget Rio, you lit my heart into flames.”

The next night after a performance, she tweeted a photo of what looks like a neck tattoo she got in honor of the city.

“R†O. Monsters, all over the world you continue to inspire me everyday, your like an endless ocean of possibilities.”

Turns out under all the hype, Gaga has a golden heart. She also made headlines recently for donating $1 million to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy. It feels good to see pop stars giving back. Also, I now have an overwhelming urge to go to Rio.
