Update on Cheryl's ex Joshua Hyatt from Love After Lockup Season 3

As Starcasm previously reported, Cheryl Childers’ bank robber ex was arrested in October of 2024 as part of a large drug trafficking ring.

From the Colorado Attorney General press release in January, 2025:

During multiple traffic stops involving the defendants, police seized thousands of grams of illegal substances, including 1,471.5 grams of fentanyl, 2,017.3 grams of methamphetamine, 125.5 grams of cocaine, and 86.8 grams of heroin during one particular search of Hyatt’s vehicle in October 2024.

Josh was indicted on 11 felony drug charges.

On January 26, 2026, Josh pleaded guilty to possession of more than 50 grams of fentanyl with intent to distribute and conspiracy to distribute or manufacture more than 112 grams of a controlled substance (specifically Methamphetamine, Heroin, Ketamine, or Cathinones/Bath Salts). He was sentenced to 25 years for each charge. The sentences are concurrent, so he will be able to serve them at the same time.

When Josh first appeared on the third season of Love After Lockup with Cheryl Childers, he was finishing up a 12-year prison sentence for armed bank robbery.
