LOVE DURING LOCKUP Chris Chipps sued for $57k after missing payments on 2021 camper EXCLUSIVE

Jade Chipps and Chris Chipps sued for more than $50,000 after failing to make payments on their fifth wheel camper

The problems continue to mount for Love During Lockup Season 3 star Chris Chipps.

Over the past 12 months, the 43-year-old reality star has been arrested multiple times, saw his arrest mocked by Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd on social media, and had his wife Jade Chipps file for divorce. Now, Chris is being sued for more than $57,000 after he allegedly stopped making payments on a camper he purchased in 2021.

According to court documents exclusively obtained by Starcasm, Chris was sued last week for a total of $57,597.29 in regards to a 2021 Heartland Fuel 305 fifth-wheel camper.

According to the complaint, Chris purchased the camper brand new in September of 2021 for just over $57,000. Chris put $6,000 down, but with taxes and additional fees, the total amount of the loan was $62,585.54.

If you’re wondering how Chris Chipps managed to purchase a $57,000 camper while he was still in prison in South Dakota, Starcasm previously revealed that Chris executed a durable power of attorney in 2020 allowing Jade to act on his behalf in regards to financial and legal matters.

You can see where Jade signed her name, plus “POA” (Power of Attorney), on the loan agreement:

In addition to the camper, Chris (via Jade) also bought a $570,000 house, a Cadillac SUV, a 2500HD Chevy Silverado pickup, a Can-Am Maverick X3 off-road vehicle, multiple Harleys and more. (Click the link above for more details on Chris’s lavish purchases while in prison, including information on where he got his money.)

The loan on the camper had an annual percentage rate of 6.4% and the monthly payments were $476.84. Chris reportedly stopped making those payments in December of last year.

The complaint states that Chris owes “the sum of $55,665.92 in unpaid principal, interest in the amount of $1,768.01 as of May 26, 2026, and a late fee of $163.36, for a total sum of $57,597.29.”

The civil complaint was filed on October 1. There doesn’t appear to be a hearing scheduled at the time of this post.

JADE AND CHRIS CHIPPS SOLD THEIR HOUSE

As revealed by @AllThingsLockup on Instagram, Jade and Chris Chipps sold their Naples, Florida house in August for $810,000. That is $235,000 more than they paid for it less than six years prior.

From the All Things Lockup post about the house sale:

Chris and Jade appear to be back together after a VERY acrimonious split that lasted months. During the split, Jade frequently went live talking 💩 about Chris, including claims that he was selling the Naples house because he had spent all of his money.

The Instagram post includes photos of a Harley Davidson motorcycle that Chris apparently purchased after the sale of the house. In the video Chris posted about his Harley, you can see the camper in the background. More from the All Things Lockup post:

Meanwhile, Chris Chipps couldn’t resist spending a little of the house profits on a Harley! Swipe the gallery to see a couple caps of his new motorcycle. If you look in the background you will notice that Jade and Chris appear to have kept their fifth wheel camper.

Jade Chipps announced last month that she is currently pregnant with her and Chris Chipps’ second child. Jade gave birth to their son Ozzy in September of last year.

Jade and Chris have several open court cases in addition to the civil lawsuit over the camper. Their divorce filing is still open, Jade is still facing criminal charges after violating an injunction for protection against stalking taken out by Chris’s “on a break” girlfriend, and Chris is still facing a charge of driving with a suspended license in Polk County.
