Kylie Jenner allegedly bribing Tyga to stay with her, keep quiet about Kardashian family secrets
The latest Kylie Jenner bribery update takes a different path than the usual Kylie Jenner bribery stories. It seems that, instead of members of Kylie’s family trying to pay her to break up with boyfriend Tyga, Kylie might now be paying Tyga for his silence–and that their continued relationship is merely a fringe benefit of the financial arrangement.
Reports of Tyga’s alleged money problems are widespread. He’s potentially $500,000 in debt to Kylie Jenner already–although, in light of the current Kylie Jenner bribery accusations, that debt could be just a misinterpretation of what was actually hush money all along. And there’s been talk of a Tyga tell-all regarding the Kardashian family secrets for months.
The current Kylie Jenner bribery possibility, though, stems from an unusual business decision on the 18-year-old’s part. Numerous sources–among them Hollywood Reporter–are claiming that Kylie Jenner is the new face of Puma, thanks in large part to her 50 million Instagram followers. Puma also recently signed Rihanna to be a creative director; it’s likely, says HR, that “Jenner’s involvement won’t be as hands-on as Riri’s,” but it might be much more significant, since, to this point, Kylie has repped Kanye West’s Yeezy footwear.
Kanye himself was none too pleased with the Puma development, and took time out from recording The Life of Pablo to express his dislike via Twitter:
1000% there will never be a Kylie Puma anything. That’s on my family! 1000% Kylie is on Yeezy team!!!
— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) February 9, 2016
Puma we gone give you your measly million dollars back!!! Never try to divide the family!!! — KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) February 9, 2016
Despite potentially issuing a sterm directive to Kylie, though, the Puma deal appears to have gone through–and a simultaneous new report from OK Magazine points to a possible reason why. That organ reports the true depths of the Kylie Jenner bribery: namely, that Kylie needs the infusion of Puma’s cash in order to keep steady her payments to her 26-year-old boyfriend.
“Kylie’s big fear is that [Tyga will] sell his interviews to the highest bidder,” said their source, “and spill all the dirt on her and the entire family. [And] Kylie knows he’s got that option, because there’s no confidentiality clause–and, even if there was, Tyga’s so reckless he’d probably go ahead and take her down anyway.”
It seems unlikely that Kris Jenner, who controls every aspect of the Kardashian empire (including complete contractual and editorial control over Keeping Up With The Kardashians, on which Tyga began appearing this season), would have allowed Tyga on her show without a confidentiality clause. At the same time, though, it seems possible that none of the Kardashians are worried about Tyga leaking any information about them–since, thanks to his alleged “misconduct” with a 14-year-old girl earlier this year, his credibility is at an all-time low.
